The DJ that rose to heights previously reserved for the mainstream, after meddling in collaborations in his first year on the electro scene, DJ Tiesto got into the zone producing Trance which lead to a nearly unprecedented Trance career capturing the hearts of all EDM fans. A Reign that would seemingly last forever until the middle of the first decade of the 21st century, when Tiesto's productions became increasingly vocal and he began to embrace the mainstream, reviving general mass adoption of Trance music. It is debatable whether this was for better or worse, but shortly after, towards the end of the first decade of the 2000 era, DJ Tiesto turned his back on the Trance scene and a large percentage of his fans, who were unwilling to follow his career path. He chose to leave Trance behind having conquered the scene and falling behind to Armin van Buuren, the only DJ able to surpass DJ Tiesto's legendary consecutive triple repeat #1 DJ in the world crown, voted by the fans through DJ Mag. Tiesto still dabbles in trance once in a while, with a few aliases releasing sporadic trance productions, such as Allure.
