‘Sunrise’ is globally renowned Trance duo Aly & Fila’s progressive/deep team-up with American, three-time Grammy nominated and two-time #2 Billboard singer-singwriter JES. TrancePodium's Michelle sat down with Aly & Fila to talk about this track and more.

Congrats on the recent release of another breathtaking track, 'Sunrise', with the legendary trance vocalist, Jes!
Many thanks , we are really happy we were able to release the track this summer.
What was it like working with Jes? Can you tell us a little bit about your creation process and how you went about incorporating her vocals into the track?
Jes is such a talented vocalist and a great person also. Working with her and her team is always very smooth, the vocals instantly hit us and we were able to create the music to go with the vocals that were written and we are very happy with the outcome.
You're known for your uplifting trance sound, but this track is a little more progressive than what we'd normally hear from you. What inspired you to take that direction with this one?
We also went the same direction with our previous collaboration with Jes ‘I Wont Let You Fall’ and it worked really well, the feedback was really good. So we decided to go with this direction again. The track has a very summer feel to it. Sit on a beach as the sun rises and listen to it, we hope it brings a smile to people’s faces.
I personally love that you stepped outside of your 'usual' sound with this track. What sort of response or reaction have you received from others?
The feedback has been really good, this direction always works when we are doing a track with Jes, her voice is so powerful and deep.
You've worked with some extremely talented vocalists throughout your career. Are there any particular vocalists you would hope to be able to work with one day?
There are so many talented vocalists out there, up and coming and established. Justine Suissa has a great voice.
With live shows coming back now, what are some that you currently have lined up?
It has been so great to be able to tour again after such a long time, we have been lucky to be able to perform shows in USA, Australia, Russia over the last few months, the vibe and energy at the parties was unbelievable, the smiles on the crowds faces. We have shows in Dubai, Europe, UK, USA etc. lined up, and other markets as they begin to open up.
What is one thing you have missed the most about performing live?
The crowd, the happiness in their faces, the energy and being able to do what we love, playing music out that we love.
Do you have anything exciting currently in the works that you can tell us about?
Our collaboration with Armin van Buuren feat. Kazi Jay called 'For All Time' was announced on during the A State Of Trance radio show. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for that one. :)
