Back in the year 2000, the track "Janeiro" by Dutch act Solid Sessions came out; a beautiful balearic instrumental progressive trance track, of almost 11 minutes long. This version gained a lot of support from the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Pete Tong, Dave Seaman amongst others.
A year later, the track got re-released with a new vocal remix, done by Pronti & Kalmani and vocals by Vera Kramer. During the years the track has been remixed by names such as Armin van Buuren, James Holden, Lemon8, Kyau & Albert and many others.
Because of the upcoming 20th anniversary of “Janeiro”, the track just came out with some fresh new remixes! So, a good reason to visit Cyril Helwig and Sonder Jongerius (a.k.a. DJ San) in their studio, to ask them about the story behind this beautiful classic and more!
