'The Track That...' with Daniel Wanrooy
Producing since 2002 and known for tracks like Ocean Terrace and Bangalore which featured on the ISOS series, Technophobia, Different Day, Different Light and many others. Or for his ITWT 014 mix compilation. He's been on fire lately again and that's why the 27th episode of our exclusive 'The Track That'-series is with Daniel Wanrooy!

The track that I wish I’d produced is…
Wow, very easy one to start with haha. I don't know if I could name any, cause it's not the way I look at tracks. Of course there are several tracks that are just perfect in my opinion, but still, then it's just a great job from the producer. I am happy what I did, and I still feel I am learning every day.

The track that could make a grown man cry is...
William Orbit - Barber's Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix)

The track that never fails to put a smile on my face is...
Mercury & Solace (BT 12" Mastermix)

The track that puts a big a lump in my throat is...
Everything from this guy, but his recent track Thom Yorke - Susperium… wow.

The track that I’m playing at every gig at the moment is...
My latest tracks Delta, Epsilon and Euphoria.

The track that isn’t electronic dance music, but rocks all the same is...
Nils Frahm - Says. That tension, the build, just one big trip!

The track that shoulda been in a movie is...
Radiohead - Exit Music (For a film), the name is referring to it already. Beautiful track.

The track that is so perfect in its original form it should never be touched by man nor remixer is...
Fonzerelli - Moonlight Party, such a good track, and so much ahead of it's time back in the days. Maybe I should remix it…. :)

The track that everyone else hates, but I love is...
I have been thinking about this for half a day, but I just don't know...

The track that made someone a hero to me is...
Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger, Rocky!

The track that surprised me the most when I heard it is...
Robert Miles - Children, what a track! I remember I bought it right away on CD single back in the days and playing it on repeat while playing Warcraft for about 6 hours in a row.

The track that changed my life is...
I can't mention a certain track, so many tracks that mean a lot to me, or that have changed my life.

The track that got me into trance is...
CM - Dream Universe, about 20 years ago. I listened to trance before that already, but I can't recall the names, most of them were on tape.

The track that I’ve just put out there is...
My latest release 'Daniel Wanrooy - Epsilon', on Black Hole Recordings.
