'The Track That...' with Robert Nickson
This month saw the release of Robert Nickson's first longplaying collection, 'Tellurian'. Reason enough to discuss his personal favorite tracks for the 30th episode of TrancePodium's exclusive 'The Track That...' series.

The track that got me into trance was... Push - Universal Nation.
A friend of mine gave me the Tiësto - Live at Innercity and it was the first track on the album. I was sold after that.

The track that everyone else hates, but I love is... Armin van Buuren feat. Trevor Guthrie - This Is What It Feels Like.
Not sure if everyone hates it, but I guess it’s a guilty pleasure (there’s a cracking remix by GO too). This question would be a lot easier to answer the other way around!

The track that made someone a hero to me was... William Orbit - Barber’s Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix).
Anything by Ferry Corsten really.

The track that makes me think of summer is... Sonic Inc. - The Taste Of Summer (Fire And Ice Vital Remix).

The track that makes me think of winter is... Orjan Nilsen - Arctic Globe

The track that surprised me the most when I heard it was... Robert Nickson - Heliopause.
Don’t meant to toot my own horn, but I always thought this was an 'ok' track, until I listened to it again after not hearing it for a few months and realised that maybe there is something to this one after all.

The track that changed my life was... Robert Nickson - Spiral.
This track has quite literally changed my life.

The track that I wish I’d produced is...
Oh god, where to be begin… let’s go with Rapid Eye – Circa-Forever (Rapid Eye R.E.Mix).
Ask me again tomorrow and you’ll probably get a different answer.

The track that could make a grown man cry is... Pulser - Cloudwalking (Astral Mix).
I could not think of a track that would make me *literally* cry, so I’m going with one that my girlfriend says makes her cry :-)

The track that never fails to put a smile on my face is... Darude - Sandstorm.
Everyone loved it until it become big and everyone hated it, and now everyone loves it again. It’s so simple yet effective, how can you not smile when hearing it?

The track that puts a big a lump in my throat is...
It’s taken me days to come to the conclusion that I do not have an answer to this one. Maybe I’m a robot but trance just does not do that for me (anymore). The closest I can get is Brian Eno - An Ending.

The track that I’m playing every gig at the moment is... My new ID ;-)

The track that isn’t electronic dance music, but rocks just the same is... Tycho - Awake.

The track that should’ve been in a movie is... Jon Hopkins - Open Eye Signal.
A very captivating track you should listen to from start to finish. Better yet, watch the music. Again watch it from start to finish, no skipping!

The track that is so perfect in its original form it should never be touched by man nor remixer is... Super8 & Tab - Elektra.
To be honest I don’t know if it ever has been remixed, but the original is perfect to me. Never say never though!

The track that I’m releasing right now... Robert Nickson - Tellurian.
