 Armin van Buuren is the world's new #1 DJ, according to the popular online poll run by DJ Mag.
The results from the biggest DJ poll were announced at the DJ Mag Top 100 awards party on Wednesday, 24th October.345,000 votes (60% increase since last year) from 220 countries came to a concluding 89,393 nominated DJ's.

 Aged just 23, Blake Jarrell has had a rollercoaster of a ride to date. Tipped by John Digweed as “definitely someone to look out for in the future," Blake carved himself a niche in the underground dance music scene in his hometown of New Orleans. At 16, he started to DJ and became a resident at local clubs like Ampersand, 735, and the House of Blues where he crafted his progressive house sound. Not satisfied with only DJing, Blake soon began to produce, releasing singles and remixes on various progressive labels co-produced with the late Adam "Starkid" Spears. |

 For some artists, a song title is a mere formality. For M.I.K.E., it's the beginning of a story, and indicative of an event or life experience that compels you to listen and find out more. M.I.K.E.'s own story started aged 10, after a Depeche Mode synth electro performance wowed him into wanting to produce music; he went on to release his first track at 18 and never looked back. Following 6 album releases under various guises (including Push and Plastic Boy), dance and chart success all over the world, and remixes for everybody from Sinead 'O Connor to Moby, M.I.K.E. released his debut artist album The Perfect Blend, two years ago. |
