Another track I just began this weekend. In this one, I experiment with many more different types of beats and experimenting with some reverbs. So, this is a slightly new direction for me. It starts off somewhat like a progressive song, like Atlas. I don't know what which direction I want to really take this song (melody or otherwise), but it's start, right? It'll probably be high energy (as you can tell.) Only one minute worth of song so far. I'm still working on Atlas, of course.

I've done a fair bit of work now. I've basically got my main idea for a breakdown in my head. It's pretty rough right now, so this one is very conceptual. Also, does anyone have suggestions for how I can fix the compression in this one? I don't want either the bass or the percussion to dominate, so I'm trying different things to get them to sound more equal. I can hear the song trying to break out, but it's tricky getting it just right.

So far, this song is taking me in a direction in which I start it off progressive and transition into uplifting. The opening two and a half minutes remind me of Kubik by Perry O'Neil (a sort of accident more than intentional.)
