Alright, I'll start :)

This is a contest weekend for me. Today was the second/last phase of the national computing contest, where I finished 3rd and won some nice prizes :)

Tomorrow is the first phase of my national programming contest.

I'm very tired right now, so I'm not planning to go partying tonight. I'll probably take my girlfriend out for a ride/walk and get back home for some nice sleep.

I have this weekend off, so I will be hanging around relaxing as much as I can  :D

I have no idea what else I will do.   :angel:

Another Weekend now! (27.04.2007 - 29.04.2007)

This weekend my girlfriend has a gig today in Drammen, (30 min. north from Oslo) and we are moving.. I also had a fall at work, fell 2m down on my neck, so now I'm not supposed to lift anything, hehe, lol! :p

Ah I wish I was going to Coachella.  Everyone says it's great.
Just got my laptop back after three weeks when the hard drive crashed, so catching up.  Plus studying for finals.  But it's supposed to rain this weekend so probably good to stay in.

I actually have a Meeting at work tommorow at 9:oo untill 11:oo so that kinda messes up my Sunday morning.  Today I will just work on some music, and then go pick up my parents from the Airport and take them home.

Hamar and Lillehammer had the winter olympics in 1994. You got Vikinskipet (http://www.hoa.no/) at Hamar, where the ice skating took place. Lot's of stuff going on there now, but one event thats cool is The Gathering (http://www.gathering.org/tg07/info).

Haha work was fun since I was working with fun people! Oh yes the house party was defo great! I convinced them to let me blast some Ferry Corsten through her parents new speakers! The next day, people had to come and help her clean her house up though!

Ouch that sounds like it hurts. Well as a reply this weekend I am supposed to have an audition at a club in Tampa, and view the stage setup of a naked rave that I will be spinning at. That will be fun. lol.

I'm going on a picnic with my friends from school tomorrow. Really looking forward to it.

tonight im hitting up FUR nightclub in DC.  Markus Schulz will be spinning from 1am - 4 possible 5am.  Me and my friends are getting free admission and VIP access.  So i dont have to wait in that long ass line that wraps around the block.   It should be a fun night.

Worked yesterday and today..it was SWAMPED today! Tomorrow, I'm going to Roaring Springs Waterpark with about 7 of my friends :D, and then visit my cousin in the hospital, because a guy ran over him, and drove away. Oh, and then, I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled out.  :(

Well, I can always go to that medievalfestival thats in the city today, Sunday! :D :p

it was very good, Jennifer Rene has a great voice live, not just in the studio, and Rank 1's performance rocked, they mixed Communication pt 1 + AirWave = Melodic Heaven, there was some filler, but I expected that in an 8 Hour Set

I DID stand up. I actually think I did pretty good for my first time. I got some good laughs from the audience, and it wasnt COMPLETELY awkward..lol

Yeah, the whole country is burning. There are fires in the forests near my town and it's pretty scary. Few villages are in danger of getting burned to ashes.

It's very sad how careless and cruel some people can be.

I'm having a Footballers Wives marathon at my house this weekend  :D  None of my friends have ever seen the show, and since David Beckham just moved here with Victoria, all my friends are obsessed with soccer now.

Everybody went to see PvD (270km from here :) )
Tomorrow is a big national holiday in my country and will go picnic somewhere near.

Last night was perfect. We arived at the beach at around 8 pm, and the show started at 9. PvD dropped an amazing 3 hour set from 1 to 4 am. We stayed untill 6 am, and there's nothing better than watching the sun rise with a morning psychedelic set playing. Beautiful.

There were like 5000 people there. Got some videos on my phone and photos on my friend's camera. Will upload them soon.

My legs hurt now.

Well i think it was average set, but the vibe was awsome! He danced, smiled, singed, enjoyed playing for this crowd. He came down to the crowd and shaked hands with them, took a picture with me and other lucky people. He jumped on the desk where the CD players were, and he had no LapTop.. Yeah!!!

today Six Flags America which is a mile from my house during the day.  Then Im taking a female friends of mine to see Airbase in Washington DC at night.  so it should be a great way to end to weekend before the Fall semester starts on Monday.......

sad news, I lost my cell last night, and my friends girlfriend who brought her digi cam, felt sick during Markus' set, so no pics of Markus n Armin, my best friend [her bf] had to miss out on seeing Armin up close due to that, I felt bad for him.
But she's ok and they watched and danced from further back in the crowd, I stayed in the front

Markus was amazing, great set, some asshole kept pushing everyone demanding some personal space bubble, in the first row! wtf, so he eventually picked a fight with me since we wouldnt budge from our spots, he swung first, and I hit him until my hand hurt, I apologize to Markus, I feel really bad, they yanked him and kicked him out, they saw that he was making trouble and thankfully they saw that he threw the first punch.
Armin came on after Markus and dropped a hot set, like I said earlier my friend and his girl had to leave 2/3 into Markus set because she wasnt feeling well, after Armin finished I used the same excuse to leave towards the stage, over the guard rail, as I was leaving Armin was walking down the stage, I stopped him, shook his and and said, "You're the World's Greatest DJ, See Ya at Episode 350" He had a giant smile on his face and said, "Thank you very much, I am looking forward to it"
Judge Jules spun the rest of the night, and I met up with my friend in the back of the crowd, He played very well, some nice classics and great mixes of current top hits

So today is my birthday, and I am having a huge VIP party tonight at FUR nightclub in DC.

well most of them just happened to be in town so I just sent out the invite.  the Global promotion company booked Talla and Eco, but they are just as thrilled to be here as well!

How was the party Darren?

That night was amazing.  The music was on point and the club owners did they're best to hook me up with everything imaginable.  Fun times with great people.

BTW I was blown away by Talla's set.  Pure energetic trance all night!

This coming weekend will be my first weekend that I am free of this academic jinx I've had for the whole year! Hopefully it's gone by June, when school comes back. Well, this easter I was at a few parties myself, nothing special, but Holland got alot to offer! :D

I would say that Holland has alot of well organized parties! If you want to party, you have much to choose from, but, it's most House and Techno. Still, it's more Trance parties here than most other places. To answer the question, yes it's true, but I don't think it's as much as you think, still it's alot! :D Get it? :p

Wow, I've also had the impression that Holland is saturated with trance music. :) At least you provided a relatively clearer picture of this. Still, much of Europe excites me because of the wide acceptance of electronic music. :)

Tonight am gonna just be hanging out with some friends at different clubs.

Saturday however:  Sasha & Digweed are doing a show @ Ibiza Nightclub.  Its gonna be massive!

Next Thursday, brand new party opening called 4Play, and George Acosta is the headliner.  gonna be hot!

Also the following Saturday, April 12th, Darude is doing his first show in DC in 6 years.  Thats gonna be a riot!

Well for keeping up to date with all the major headliner club events happening theres a couple of different production companies sites worth checking.  Also its worth noting that its more than just trance in this scene since house, and techno have gotten really huge as well in the last year and a half.

Honestly, from all the tracks he played, I only recognised like 2-3 that I've heard before, and I don't know their names. I know nothing about techno, but I loved the set.

As for this weekend its about, rafting at Denali National Park with some friends Ive made up here.  And then Sunday a cook out a my room mates parents house.

Blitz - CineStar will build in Varaždin (ex-capital of Croatia)- in new shopping center, 6 cinema halls with total capacity of 800 seats. It would be completed at the end of 2009  :) -- That should be the biggest shopping center in this region (the Balkans).  LOL :D

Well, my weekends has been packed with fun stuff this summer.

Holland is full of big, and small, very good parties and festivals.

I won't go through every weekend now, don't worry, but yesterday we where at a festival called Wooferland. On this event you can actually bring your kids. I was thinking that this can't work, but it sure did, and this is the 5th year they proved it. We had a really good time there.

last night, Deadmau5 was off the hook.  I even have a pic with him somewhere.  Then hit up an afterparty @ Mike Fisher's house (Deepdish's studio sound tech guy).  fun times.

today started working on getting my front passenger fixed.  it fell off of its tracks, and the the clips are broken.  looks like i may new a new regulator as well....  weaksauce

ps. i think one of the go-go dancers at this one club is into me... hotness!

As for this upcoming weekend, ive got a guestlist at Chus & Cebellos thursday night.

Saturday night Paul van Dyk.  Friday night is still up in there air. 

School is really coming down hard so I have work cut out for me, there....

This past friday, about 8 of us, 4 girls and 4 guys rolled up to New York City, and hit up of the Breakfast & Ferry Corsten show at Pacha Nightclub.  Unfortunately I was the only one of my crowd that was on the VIP list, but I made sure everyone still had fun... :)  It was my first time ever at the club and only my second time in NYC.  I loved that fact that excluding the people I came with there were atleast 10 other people that I knew there. 

Saturday, after a recovery session somewhere at a friends house in the middle of no where outside of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, we made our way back to Maryland. 

That night in DC, I started out at the Sander Klienenberg show, and later I made way to another spot for the DJ Sammy show, who was tearing it up.  Don't believe what you hear, he does not play that cheesy shit that he got famous for.  He actually drops real banging electro, trance, house, and tech-shit.  It was on fire until one of the girls I came with got so drunk we needed to get her home...   That night was a handful... :(

Can't wait for next week though. Eric Prydz!!!!

Getting ready for the Christmas play at out church.  The kids are working hard :-)

Probably studying all weekend for two exams. Monday next week is an oral exam on Theology (my last Theology course, finally) and Tuesday will be a written exam on Philosophy. Friday next week would be a long test on Discrete Mathematics for Computer Science II (Yes, the course is a two-semester one). After that will be the Christmas break, and then school starts again on January 5.

aside from last minute shopping and Christmas itself, the rest of my week as really shaped up in respect the parties I will be attending.
