What a great night

Nice location in The Sand in Amsterdam, which is officially a beachsport location, but most Friday's and Saturday's it's turned into a club. And a pretty nice one I must say. It's not too big, there's place for about 2,500 people, who were all there last Saturday, cause it was sold out. The entrance was € 50 and the DJ's all played for free, so you can count a bit how much money they raised for Dance4Life.
The time-table was:
22.00-23.30 Joop
23.30-01.00 Sied van Riel
01.00-03.00 Tiësto
03.00-05.00 Leon Bolier
JoopWe arrived at around 23.00 so we missed the first hour of Joop. We arrived with Chakalaka, but the rest was alright. Not great, but some nice tracks, so a nice warm-up for what was to come
6.5/10Sied van RielThe one who I was waiting for, cause I've never seen him live, unlike Tiësto and Leon Bolier. To be honest, I expected a bit more from him, but maybe my expectations were just a bit too high. The first half hour had some boring parts, but he played For Your Love which always makes everything good, even Sander van Doorn feat. Robbie Williams which he played after. But after the first 30 minutes he really kicked off. Rush, Chakalaka (again), Contrasts (AAAAAAAAAA!!!!!) and Where You Belong were a couple of the massive tracks he played. AMAZING!!!! OMG, I went totally nuts on Contrasts! How I love that track!, The others mentionned too though hehe.
8/10TiëstoThe GOD!!! This must've been the 11th time I see him perform live and this was absolutely one of the best sets I've attended. When he arrives, something's happening. You see really somebody arriving. Even if you wouldn't know him, you can see from everything he's still one of the best DJ's around, if not, THE best. He started with a soft track, to build up the atmosphere a bit. His 2nd track was Mat Zo - Our Self and from then a couple of the tracks I can remember were Vampire, M.M.E., Lost and Alone In The Dark. The 2nd hour was different though. IT WAS BAAAAAAANGIN!!!! Only one track was a bit too much towards hardtrance, but for the rest Tiësto went totally crazy!!!!! Bangin remix also from Carte Blanche and a prefect end with Request
9.5/10Leon BolierHis start sucked tbh. Don't remember which track it was, but it was a male vocal and a bit rock-ish. But from there on he was great. Absolutely great! So many great tracks. One of them being Revolving Doors (Immoral Monkeys Remix). And I can't believe he played my favorite track of 2008. I never even dared dreaming it would be played. I've seen no other DJ playing this track, nor have I seen it in other tracklists. Only Tiësto played it once in Club Life and it's on his ISOS7 CD: DJ Eremit - Tanz Der Seele

I went as nuts as I've never went nuts before! Too bad we had to leave after about an hour. It was already 4AM and my pregnant wife got too tired. But thank god, just before we actually left, he played Us
9/10So all together a pretty amazing night. If I can compare though with for example MennoSolo, the atmosphere is different though. Tiësto attracts people of all kind, no matter if they like trance or not, he's famous, so people want to see him. While with MennoSolo, cause he's less famous, only true fans are there who know almost all tracks. With Tiësto I could see a lot of people not knowing the, for all of us, famous tracks. It's best comparable with Us. Last Saturday me and only a few others were going crazy on it, while at MennoSolo, everybody went totally crazy. It was noticable also, cause it only got really crowded just before Tiësto started and a lot of people left immediately when Tièsto had left. I didn´t mind though, more space for me and the true die hards stayed
