There is always going to be commerciality. Whether they like it or not, they will keep the fans coming in and thats just how it goes. You can be the most underground sounding producer and still make it way to the top, ex. Above & Beyond.
To be commercial in my opinion is to produce tracks that have the poppish vocals and the cheap synths, ex. Going Wrong by Armin and Shah, and White Lies by Paul van Dyk. Even though they have this commercial appeal sometimes, they also have an underground appeal. As long as they are playing underground songs, I have no problem with them being big in the scene. I just dont want to hear any Britney Spears remixes!
It is 2:40 in my time zone (chicago), and officially my birthday! although typically not excessively exciting, I am now 18 and able to attend some (although not all) trance events! As luck would have it, tonight, Tiesto will be playing at the house of blues chicago (18+) and i have tickets!

man u are so lucky to go to these events! Too bad about the phoenix afterparty though. Looks like it was a great time, and tiesto w/ ferry as a tagteam, OMG!! usually tiesto likes to do things alone, so its awesome to see this.
