ahhh dont you love it!!  I'm seeing Armin on the 14th June and am soooo pumped!  i think that may be on par with Tiesto for sure!  I also saw Eddie Halliwell last year and he blew me away but back then i was only jus getting into the scene and dont think i appreciated it as much as i would now.

Yep was in a coma for 2 weeks!  it sucked but hey i'm here and you go through everything in life for a reason

got armin on 14th June Brisbane, not Armin Only though just llike tiesto, Queensland misses out on the whole hog yet again! boohoo (but sooooo looking forward to it anyways, Tiesto and Armin in a space of 2 months, cant really complain!)

So.... i got my first taste of Tiesto live,  a few weeks ago.  Being in Australia the scene isnt huge here so for him to be spinning an hour away from where i live was a pretty big thing.  He is the first Top Shelf World Class DJ i have seen live yet,  and the experience was just overwhelming and emotional.  I cried through 3 tracks i was so happy.

 The signifigence of that day was so coincidental  as I actually flat-lined (my heart and brain shut down and I died briefly) last year after being very very sick and in a coma for 2 weeks  and the day Tiesto played here was the EXACT one year annivesary of that day, 25th April!  I shared the Tiesto experience a few weeks ago with some of my closest friends  and even though not all of them are huge trance fans like me they came along for me as they knew the signifigance of that day and the fact that Tiesto is like a god to me

   Now, every time i hear Adagio for Strings (the final track he played that night) I get quite teary as it takes me back to being in the middle of that club, amongst hundreds or more of people, feeling so happy fuzzy emotional  to be ALIVE to experience that night and just letting the music fill my body,  mind and soul.  The way i felt it was as if i was the only one in the room, i was so lost in the music.

 Guys, it was the most memorable feeling i can remember and I will never forget it!  Makes me quite teary thinking about it now....

Basically i just wanted to know who was the first DJ (doesnt have to be world class of course), you saw live that touched you and moved you and made you realise that you were in this for the long haul and trance was going to become part of your life?

wow this is a long thread.  Refereing back to Nicks comment about warm people, i must say that i never never met a fellow trancie that has not been warm and friendly in character, i swear there is a connection there, we are all such peaceful people with good spirits and genuine human beings....sorry this post just sparked that thought...

I bring my ipod to work as well and listen when doing menial tasks like boring data entry, the girl i share an office with is a country music fanatic so we both have our headphones on all day to keep each other happy hehe

oh massive addiction alot of my friends hate it lol!!  They cringe when i bring out my cds at a party, or perhaps they cringe because i bring my cds anywhere where there is a cd player to get my fix hehehe.

I like it Ben, one thing i would change is the clap, a teeny bit too overpowering over the other tracks, perhaps turn it down by just a couple of db to balance it out..... but apart from that, great build in the middle of the track and loved the last 2 minutes!!
