Looking good. Have fun mate.

Here's the full press release:

On Thursday the 20th of March 2008 Intuition will be kicking off the new year with a very special guest. Markus Schulz, nr. 13 in the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100, will be headlining a spectacular night at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. With other top notch names such as Eelke Kleijn, First State and Menno de Jong Intuition builds on its success of the past year which featured events at Panama in Amsterdam, Bloomingdale on the beach, Studio 80 in Amsterdam and participating in the FFWD Dance Parade. Lineup:

Markus Schulz [Coldharbour] (USA)
Eelke Kleijn [Global Underground] (NL)
First State [Black Hole] (NL)
Menno de Jong [Intuition] (NL)

Markus Schulz started the year exceptionally well with the release of his fourth mixcompilation for Armada Music; Amsterdam ’08. The fact that the new album carries the name of the Dutch capital is not a coincidence. Amsterdam is one of the Miami based Global DJ Broadcast legends favourite destinations, which will definetely contribute to the magic of this evening. Markus explains: “I just love Amsterdam, I always feel a great connection with the crowd, it’s like a unique friendship. The Dutch audience was one of the first to pick up my sound and has always shown appreciation for it over the years. That’s why naming my new mixalbum ‘Amsterdam’ was an easy decision!

The deeper end of the night will be fueled by the progressive sounds of the wonderboy of the modern Dutch progressive scene: Eelke Kleijn. His recently released album ‘Naturally Artificial’ established his true importance for the electronic music scene, showing he can produce a range of sounds much broader than just progressive. Anyone who has given it a listen will acknowledge that the acclaimed Global Underground label has found a brand new gem!

Menno de Jong, the man behind Intuition, will be present too of course. In the past years he has been taking on the scene at an incredible rate, making name with his label, productions and energetic performances. Last year saw Menno rise to the 62nd position of the DJ Mag Top 100 proving that Intuition and himself are undeniably on the rise!

Last but certainly not least are the dashing Dutch duo First State. Consisting of the legendary Ralphie B and his good friend Sander van der Waal they surprised the trance scene with their immensely successful album ‘Time Frame’. Hits such as ‘Falling’ featuring Anita Kelsey, ‘Sierra Nevada’ and of course the beautiful ‘Evergreen’ have made a deep impact in the past year, and so their home country debut will be a very special moment for them. Don’t miss it!

Once again it promises to be a great night at the Melkweg featuring great music, an array of powerful lasers and sublime production. As a unique extra every visitor will receive a coupon for 3 free downloads from dancetunes.com! Powered by Intuition and Dance-Tunes.

I've been there yesterday  Grin

I had such a great time! It started with First State. I have to say I was a bit disappointed with their performance. They choose too many popular tunes and it was a bit too soft. Tunes like Falling and Toca Me are quite difficult to dance on actually. It's too slow and like other tunes they chose, it has too many breaks. They should stick with producing.

I didn't know Eelke Kleijn, but he did a quite good job. Picked out some good tracks and I haven't heard any 'popular' tune. He should improve his technics a bit, but it sounded very promising.

Markus Schulz was of course the big name of this event. And he was awesome! I've seen him 3 times before yesterday and he always reached a high level, but I think yesterday he played his best set out of the 4. 2.5 hours pure quality without exception. Great tracklisting and great performance. Absolutely great. I haven't stopped dancing for 2.5 hours!

I have to say that made me a bit tired. Menno de Jong was good as always, although I'm used a bit better from him. But that might be due to the amount of energy I lost during Markus' set.

I will look for pictures from it and will post it here when I found them.

I'll be there! Grin Thanks for info!
What did you think of it?

You know what Super AFC Ajax.. I forgot this event.. I remembered this on Sunday and got really angry with myself, but done is done as they say..

Anyway, I did something new this easter. Friday I went to a underground party in Amsterdam, and on Sunday to Awakenings. How was that you think? I'll tell you, Friday was fun, Sunday not so fun, but always cool to see new stuff. Overall, I would rather go to Intuition. Wink

Glad to hear you had a good time!
