So, for the last few days i'm revisiting my trance collection, and i came up with few tunes that ended up ripping me apart inside after i'm listening to them. NO, I DID NOT BREAK UP nor i have gambling problems, but there are few tracks that make me feel down after i give them a listen or two. The one im actually listening atm is Amex vs Saint Rush - Distant Worlds (Original Mix). This track is a pure emotional stormer, uplfiting yet emotional, the synths are perfect, but in a truely sad way, i love this track.
Another track that comes up in my mind is Markus Schulz feat Departure - Cause You Know (Mike EFEX Dub Mix). Dont know is this because of the haunting vocals used in the back (Is this the end of everything...) of it's the full lyrics of the original version which are mindblowing as well. Or maybe the awesome synths used in the breakdown.Amazing track...
Few more tracks that i find sad, if anyone of you has them please share opinions, or im going mad  Undecided

Afternova - By Your Side
Above & Beyond - Can't Sleep
The Doppler Effect - Beauty Hides in the Deep (The Blizzard Remix)  Love
Jorn van Deynhoven - Godspeed (Joshua Cunningham Remix)
Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren - Light The Skies
Dave 202 - Rain Against Her
Ilse de Lange - The Great Escape (Armin van Buuren remix)
Lolo - Teddybears Escape

Discuss, add tracks, opinions...

I'd say Andy Blueman's Time to Rest is an emotional track.

I know exactly what you mean. I have a bad habit of sometimes reading the news (usually depressing) or looking at depressing pictures while listening to trance, which is more pronounced whenever I'm listening to those "emotional songs."

For a sample of what I mean (and I mean it when I say depressing):
http://www.american-pictures.com

Darren Tate - Prayer For A God
Metropolitan - Octagen & M.I.D.O.R.
Ferry Corsten - Galaxia
Super8 & Tab - Elektra (the dark progressive beats in the background and celestial sounds really paralyze me, but all move in flawless harmony)
Alt+F4 - Alt+F4 (especially the softer section in the middle just before the massive melody kicks in)
Armin Van Buuren - If U Should Go (John O''Callaghan Remix) (especially the opening minute with the instrumental)
Spectrum - Filo & Peri

One thing I can think of right now is Liebesschmerz by Schiller.

I'll add some more tracks later, but one of the most emotional tracks for me is Cellec - Love Of My Life (Kamil Polner & Sender Remix)

One example of a sad track is Armin Van Buuren - Burned With Desire

Yeah, I know how you all feel as well. Trance has been the only thing that has actually allowed me to get a clear overview of things in my own life and how to deal with them. Amazing what this stuff can do to a person.  Cool Anyway, here are some I can think of right now:

Armin van Buuren feat. Ray Wilson - Yet Another Day
Ferry Corsten - Freefalling
Kamera - Lies (Markus Schulz Remix)
Delerium - Fleeting Instant
Paul van Dyk feat. Ashley Tomberlin - New York City
Armin van Buuren feat. Justine Suissa - Simple Things
Oceanlab - Satellite

Please never forget that you're special to me.

Yeah I think Hope is a good example. It's melody is quite emotional! Home is another good emotional track from them IMO as is Alone Tonight.

I actually get tears in my eyes every time i see Tiesto playing love comes again live in Amsterdam DVD.  At the break, the crowd all sings along and i guess i get sooky because every one is feeling and thinking and saying the same thing at once and it gives me goosebumps!  Not just that but i put myself in the big T;s place and can only imagine how emotional it is for him to have thousands of people sharing the experience of something he loves with him.

Burned with desire is a great example also DJRAnz and some others i think are on that level are:

You're not alone - ATB
Alone tonight - Above & beyond
Anthem - Nic Chagall remix

But of course it depends why it makes you emotional.  Some trance touches me on levels that are far from concious emotion, more so emotion because it is so beautiful, corny aint it but you guys understand i am sure Smile

Great picks buddy.

Ilse de Lange - The Great Escape (Armin van Buuren Remix) is by far my favorite one from all the tunes you posted. Too bad it was never released (as far as I know).

"Ten Seconds Before Sunrise", yes it really is emotional ..and there is also "mind of the wonderful" - Blank & Jones..i think that trance songs have the most expressive lyric of all!
