See you there?
YES! I'll be there again. Bought the tickets a while ago already.

It will be my 4th time in a row. Great festival!

I hope the weather will be better though.

And althoughthe line-up for the mainstage isn't great, the total line-up must be the best I've ever seen:

Erick E
Marco V
Roger Sanchez
Fedde le Grand
Airbase
First State
Mat Zo
Nic Chagall
Tiësto
Benny Rodrigues
Ricky Rivaro
Ernesto vs. Bastian
Kyau & Albert
Menno de Jong
Sean Tyas
Remy

And I've probably forgotten a few. The choice will be too difficult  Shocked

Yeah! Really looking forward to this one myself! Grin

I guess it will be like Dance Valley for us, just walking around, trying to see alittle of everything! lol Love it when it is like this. So much to do, to much to see! Tongue Maybe alittle frustrating too, but I guess we have a luxury problem at this event then.

Mysteryland was MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE!

When we arrived and took an icecream, I heard 'Out Of The Sky' coming from the ISOS-stage where First State was playing. What a great start. I missed Mat Zo though, because we were too late.

Ernesto vs Bastian
So the first DJ's we went to were Ernesto vs Bastian at the Eclipse-stage. Pretty good set and the first track they played when we arrived was Ali Wilson's Shakedown . Good start hehe. They also played tracks like 'Elektra' and 'Carte Blanche 2008' from Veracocha (Ferry Corsten & Vincent de Moor). But also many other good tracks I've forgotten.
7.5/10

Airbase
Then we went to Airbase at the ISOS-stage. I was very glad those 2 stages were right next to eachother. Airbase also played a very good set. Tracks like 'New York City' from PVD and 'These Shoulders'. He also played his own track 'Denial' of course.
8/10

Kyau & Albert
Than we went to Kyau & Albert. What an amazing set. The best so far that day. So many great tracks I don't even remember which ones. I remember 'Get Lifted' and though from Kamui and 'Out Of The Sky'. Funny guys btw. The blond guy (I don't know who's who) is very serious and concentrated (I only saw him enjoy and smile once haha) while the darkhaired guy was laughing all the time and jumping and dancing. The only negative part of their set was, they made the same mistake as Armin did with ASOT 2 times ago. They played: WFT! It was halfway the set and I'm glad they immediately continued to play great tracks after it again.
8/10 (Would've been higher if they wouldn't have played WTF)

Menno de Jong
Then it was time for Menno de Jong. He seems to become a halfgod of trance now, because when he was announced, the crowed was shouting much more then with all the others. And what an amazing set of him again. I've seen him now 6 or 7 times and he's always amazing. I'm soooo gonna vote for him on no.1 and I would be very surprised if he won't finish a lot higher than the 62nd spot from last year. He played some great tracks that really get the crowed going crazy, like 'Shakedown', 'Carte Blanche 2008' and a couple of others. And it's such a joy to see him play. He's enjoying it so much and he wants to entertain the crowd and he's dancing and jumping.
9/10

Sean Tyas
Sean Tyas played a pretty good set as well. But what counts for the rest, counts for him too. A lot of great tracks, but a bit the same of everything (again 'Shakedown'). But that's probably due to the DJ's I've chosen to see. But Tiësto had already started so halfway his set we went to Tiësto.
8/10

DJ Tiësto
30 minutes before Tiësto started, the island he was playing on was already full and closed, but we wanted to give it another try. This time the matrix-signs still said it was full and we had to turn back, but we could still enter. But it really was way too crowded. Not only in the tent, but also all around it. We could reach the inside of the tent, but there was no space to dance at all and because Juliette is pregnant we didn't dare going in further. Which was too bad, because he played a pretty damn good set. But we left because of this.

But that was the only negative part of Mysteryland 2008. To put Tiësto in a stage with a capacity of about 5,000 people, knowing that would be too smal, because they already had made all the percausions in advance. And knowing there's a Mainstage with a capacity of about 15,000 people but with pointless DJ's like Dr Lektroluv, Richie Hawtin, Tocadisco, Laidback Luke and David Guetta. No way that stage was full. I don't even believe it was filled more than 25%. Very bad done.

But it was a great day after all, with great weather while it was expected to be shit weather, we had sun almost the whole day. It was maybe even the best event I've ever attended. But I kinda expected it as well with sooo many great DJ's.

I will soon post some photos I've made.
