Hi All.

I'm a fresh face around here.

Name's Brad and i hail from Cape Town, South Africa.

26yrs of age...married for 7months.

I've always been a keen follower of Paul Van Dyk and pre-2000 Tiesto.

Of late i've been listening to the more minimal/tech sounding Ricardo Villalobos and the likes, but i still love the pure sound of Trance.

Looking fwd to sharing some good convo and discussion with you

Cheers

Brad

Hey Brad, welcome aboard!

True, Tiesto used to be much better back then.

How's the scene in South Africa?

Thanks for the welcome Hypnotic.

The scene in Cape Town is buzzing, but not massiv as many of you EURO folk would know it. There's an even mix of electro [which i'm not too keen on] and House doing the rounds and a handful of dj's playing the electro/techy stuff.

You'd find traces of trance in dj's sets, but no real trancers around.

I was listening to Tiesto live at Dance Valley [think from 1999] with Ballearic Bill- Destination Sunshine and the likes and it brought back fond memories of what he was like.

Thanks again for the friendly welcome.

Hi BCM! Good to see you've decided to sign up here, mate!  Grin

Hope you will feel just as home as at FSF  Wink

You're sure it wasn't Tiësto Live @ Energy 2000 from 31-12-1999?
I remember we've discussed that set before Wink

Yeah SAA. That's the one. Shot for welcome...

Hello Ben, thanks for the welcome. Yeah i know about JVW. Back in the days when my mates did a radio show called 'Come Down Mondays' he had a set profiled on there...

His a real promising producer and has done work with some really cool artists incl Pierre Pienaar [Bamford and Pienaar fame]. His alias is NorthStar right? He now goes by the alias Imagine if i'm not mistaken.

Shot for the welcome.

Yes, still love him too! I remember you told me about him 2 or 3 years ago. Still listening to that track Shadow World every now and then. Have it still standard on my iTunes. But after quite an absence he's totally back!
