Rover presents Green Octopus - Corona (Original Mix) -
2 September 2008, at 23:16
First song I've ever completed. I began working on it in July. This version here is the product of several dozen tries, and unfortunately, I still feel it to be lacking somehow. I can't pin it where, though. I think loudness may be an issue, but even after examining the song over and over again, I'm not really seeing what the trouble maker is. And while I'm pretty happy with my arpeggio, but I'm not sure if I like my lead in. I wanted to give the pad a lower pitch as it enters into the main melody for more suspense. If you have any thoughts on how to improve it, I'd gladly listen in on everyone's more experienced insights. :)

NOTE: The original video for this was taken down. This video now reflects the first update to this song (my second post on this thread.)

I downloaded the mp3 and it sounds ok, although the volume is a bit low and the sound is somewhat fuzzy (If you listen closely, you can hear a little crackling noise).  Just fix it up and you are on your way!  :hp:
Now known as Randy Derricott. I may sometimes use the DJ Ranz alias for certain projects though.

Thanks for the tip. :)  I think the crackling you were hearing was from the synth I introduced at 0:56, which was partially intentional, but I've debated on whether to keep it or not. I'm going to change that instrument (and a couple others) to see if that helps get rid of the "fuzz."

Here's the updated version, and hopefully the volume is a little better this time. The synth on this one gives the song more of a club/dancy feel.
