Here we are again at the impending end of another year. In this case: 2017.

2017 saw many more memorable moments in the world of EDM as well as the rise of many new faces, some of whose work is featured here.

As per usual, I have constructed a 50 song DJ mix to chronicle the year in EDM that was 2017. At just eight minutes short of five hours, it currently stands as the longest mix I have done in my involvement in the EDM community.

By the way, when I stated that there were 50 songs in this mix, I kinda fibbed. There are actually 52, with the final two not coming from 2017 but from years old. Sadly during 2017, the world of EDM suffered a devastating and massive loss when Swiss/Italian electronic music legend Roberto Concina, better known in the community as Robert Miles, passed away at the age of 47 after a long battle with cancer. EDM connoisseurs best knew him for the classic dance opus "Children", a song he created partly to provide a relaxing and more light alternate conclusion to DJ sets. Therefore, both as a salute to and in the fashion of Robert Miles and his contributions to the electronic music world, I've chosen to end this with both this classic and another track of his that is a personal favourite for me, FABLE.

My hope is for listeners of this mix to reflect on one of the main purposes of electronic music: To shine a bright beacon in this dark world as we celebrate, appreciate, and to unite in love, both of music and each other.
