Does anyone know of a good fake book with trance/eurodance in it?

Actually, come to think of it, any sheet music would be ok.  I have searched the net and found a few sites.  Just gathering info if anyone has good info.

I don't know of any, but I use a number of techniques for my melodies.

One thing I very often do to start up a song is to conjure a little inspiration by playing chords on airy pads. I'll find some sequence of chords I thing would sound great, then assign a length of play time for each one. In the lead, I'll arpeggiate the chords. So in other words, I'll take each note from a chord, then arrange them a certain way, while having one constant note, which I'll call the "bass" sound be the lowest note (set maybe one octave lower) and will be played each time he melody takes a "rest" from the chord. So, let's say I have CEG as my chord for 1 full measure. Since C is the lowest note, I'll have C on octave 2, followed by C on octave 1 (my "bass" sound";), then play note like E2 or G2 (whatever makes you move when you hear it) and switch it up with other notes on the same scale (or, if I'm very careful, on a completely different scale), while having C1 play occasionally as a sort of "bassline." But there are quite a few ways to do it. I know it's hard to see without some visual guides, but I hope that helps a little in the meantime.

Rover is right. Try making chords at first for your melodies, and then when you have them you can implement a higher melody line if you want. Try experimenting with the black keys also, my new melody is made almost entirely on them.

I like F minor myself and it's one that I'm using a lot on stuff I'm doing now.

F, G, G#, A#, C, C#, D#, F

It punches out some really emotional chords I find.

Thanks for the tips.  I have not been on much, took a little break.  But I will try out the chords and appregiation in the next few days.

Rover and Ben,

How are your latest songs coming?  Can you post a newest version and I can listen?

Later,
Tim

Hey Tim. I haven't done too much with the latest song I uploaded (Latitude), but I've got a couple songs newer songs I'm beginning at the moment, so hopefully soon there will be enough there to showcase.
