OK., when i started Dj'ing I used to EQ my Master, not good...
Cause of the Freq range between the different instruments,

However, a multiband compressor I must say is essential in your master, because you need a way to give the mix more high ends and bass frequencies, with high attacks and medium thresholds.
Otherwise your mix will sound a bit dull and puffy.

I always wondered how a mix sounds like it is in a box, but at the same time out of the box.
Well, using an EQ and filter for you Bassline and a paramatic EQ for the KICK, boosting 80-100hz,
less on the 80hz for the kick,
Instrument boost @ 3K and cut @ 250hz, i figured it gives off a good feel sound, including enough treble to clear it up and not too much bass to interfere with the main Bassline+ Kick
Also, Trance is from another world so try to change and warp your instruments, 4 example, ..
A normal piano sound, or an alien piano sound , hahaha, trust me it will change the whole feel of the song.
Using weird sounds for your background, will integrate a storyline into your mix

Trance... Love the endurance
