Magnetix – The Launch –Sat 29th Sept @ Club 414 -

It’s not every weekend a new promotion launches, especially with the scene in the state that it is (according to others, but not to us). After listening for quite some time now about what you the clubber wants from your night out, we feel we have the answer.

Imagine a club that has been decorated to the hilt on the night by the promoters, with resident and guest DJ’s that command respect no matter what sort of music is your cup of tea, coupled with proper set programming and dedicated warm up sets to ease you into your groove. Sound good so far? You should she who is playing!

Jon the Baptist is one of the biggest Hard Trance DJ’s in the UK who doesn’t play regularly in our capital, with just 1 London gig in 2006.
If being versatile enough to both play and produce anything from Uplifting Trance to banging Hard Trance isn’t enough for you, it might be worth noting that he’s had productions released on Future Sound Corp, Drizzly, Sectioned, TranceWarez, V8, High Fish, Addiction Digital, Scum, V-Traxx Dark… In fact it would probably be quicker to list the labels he hasn’t had releases on than the ones he has.
He’s been commissioned to remix for Alphazone and had his tracks supported by the likes of Judge Jules and Scot Project.
And unlike some producers however, he is just as good behind the decks as he is in the studio, with a gig list for the year as long as your arm. This guy really has to be seen to be believed!

Also joining us on our Launch night is Jurrane, who is fast becoming one of the premier Trance DJ’s in London.
The man who brought you Boundless and Magic Beans Records has recently been putting his classical music training to good use in the studio, with his latest production “Time Bomb” forthcoming on Discover Dark, as well as a remix for Ian Betts’ Six:Thirty label and the just released remix of Then and Now with Sly One on Emalodic.
As well as appearances in the main room for Knowwhere and a residency at  the best kept secret in Trance, Planet Angel, amongst other high profile sets, (including Peach NYD @ Heaven) Jurrane is one DJ who is well and truly set for big things.

You know that a DJ stands out when their antics earn them the nickname “Tequila”. After more than a year earning his spurs as a DJ/Promoter with the recently departed Sunday evening party Byte, we can’t wait to see just him in action, warming up the 414 with his trademark Trance / Tech Trance sound for not just one, but for two whole hours.
I wonder how many shots he can have in that time?

This leaves us with our residents:

Addiction resident Ashley James has been making some serious waves in the last couple of years, with ringing endorsements from some heavyweights of Hard Dance like James Lawson and Nick Sentience. Impact and Addiction Digital have been showcasing a lot of the material coming from his studio, along with his jointly owned label Repent, helping to push his sound to a whole new audience. With more projects on the run than the NHS, young Ashley is definitely one DJ and Producer to look out for in the future.

Phil Lankester is something of a 414 stalwart, having been resident at no less than 4 different parties at the club.
The Puzzle Project and Swamp creator loves the 414, and it’s safe to say that the 414 loves him back.
His closing sets for Puzzle Project are nothing short of legendary stuff, and after recently being head hunted by Steve Blake to run Impact Recordings with Ben Bennett, things are certainly on the up for the DJ formerly known as Mad Phil.

Our last and by no means least resident is a DJ who goes by the name of Dean Zone.
One of the most enthusiastic DJ’s on the scene, when he isn’t behind the decks he can usually be found at the front of the dance floor with all the other ravers. His musical styles encompass Trance, his trademark thunderous European Hard Trance sound as well has Hardstyle, making him truly unique music wise.
With some recent endorsements from IDJ magazine and the users of HarderFaster.net as well as confirmed upcoming gigs from afar away as Dorset, it won’t be long before world domination beckons we think.

Please note, we here at Magnetix are not content with just turning up, putting up set times, switching on the decks and playing music. Oh no. It is our mission to give you, the clubber, a more personal experience.
On the night we will be decking out the 414 to the max.
Expect psycadelic décor, vinyl give aways, free mix cd’s for the first 50 people through the door, glow sticks and bands, free tickets to other events, and at 3am the biggest balloon release the 414 will ever see!
Couple that with the best chill out room of any club in London, a roof terrace for the smokers and of course, the legendary 414 café (what other club in London can you get a Cheese Toasty from?) and you’d be mad to miss out!

We are also doing our best to support new talent and push new DJ’s. With a strictly any type of Trance music policy, we are always open to receiving demos. Just hand your demo in at the door when you arrive. All demo’s will be listened to by a member of the team.
