So apparently, Deadmau5 refused to play at a gig in Oslo on 4th of April because Markus Schossow was booked to open for him, which ended with Markus Schossow not even allowed entrance to the party.

So, enough of the Deadrat6 stuff.

I was asked by the Under The Sun entertainment (Norwegian promoters) to play along side Deadmau5 the 4th of April.  I kindly accepted the offer and was really looking forward to see the performance of Deadmau5 since iv played loads of his stuff in my radio show "Tone Diary" and in my sets.

The management claims that Deadmau5 was not aware that he was supposed to perform with me until 3 days before the event. Here is an quote from my AIM from an conversation with joel, notice the date:

"AIM IM with XXXXXXXX 3/10/08 9:32 AM
whats the deal with this Oslo shit?
are you opening up for me or something?"

The management also had accepted the artwork of the flyer...

So, everything looked to be okay and the weeks went by.  But on the 28th of March i received this statement in an email from the promoter:

"Apparently Deadmau5 is refusing to play if Marcus is there, and that was an ultimate I got.
Joel told his manager on Wednesday that he refuses to play with Marcus and is cancelling the gig. if Marcus is at the club or is playing at the club."

My management tried to contact Joels management and agency to solve the issue but with no respond.

So i went to Oslo because i had a connecting flight the next day to my performance in Poland the day after. I hoped until the last hour that we would be able to solve the situation but without any success. The promoter also tried to find another club for my performance at the same date.

I deeply apologize to all those club musical lovers who was affected and i hope to return to Oslo later this year for another performance.

Many people are probably wondering on what happened with Marcus Schossow on the night of performance on Under The Sun at Kokkos with Deadmau5 - April 4th.
All we can say is that Schossow didn’t play because of internal misunderstanding between the two respected artists managements.

We tried to find a solution but no good solution was found.

For those who want to see Marcus Schossow at Under The Sun we promise that a date will come shortly.

For final note: this event was a total success and was a dream start for our upcoming club events for the future. We hope that we will someday bring Deadmau5 back to us.

I'm not a fan of either's work tbh, but very inmature really.

It's quite annoying to have artists flaming like this, like their fans are not enough in forums. It just made feel less likely to listen to any of their future works. Can't support artists who can't restrain themselves.

Although at least Marcus seems to have taken the more mature approach and post a press release and not slander the other one on a web forum.

I also like the fact how Joel is acting all nice in the first topic saying it was not his doing, then switches in the reply.  This is like a high school kids MySpace page.

honestly, ide rather be sick than listen to deadmau5 or Schossow. they are both crap. not a fan at all. so, yeah, like you have all said. real childish. isnt it amazing how people in these positions love to hide behind management, have the facts blurred and not have the balls to deal with it by themselves directly, tell one another where they have stepped outta line and what they think of each other? after all, if some guy calls me a dickhead,  i'll serve something back at least.
