Hey guys,

It's that time of year again.  The DJ Mag poll in upon us.  Please tell me your feelings about who you think should win or even how you feel abou this poll. 

Personally, due to the fact that people hack into the system and illegally cast votes, it's really of no use anymore.  I still vote in it because sometimes they will give you on song credit that you can redeem for a free song.

Please share your thoughts about the poll....

Yeh i voted too yesterday and I'm just gonna say that I'd like to see Armin loses his crown this year

Voted this time around because for the first time i've seen some DJ's perform. I went for the ones I felt deserve better credit for their contribution to the Trance industry and continue to maintain their core sound.

It's a joke though the poll - the spam is annoying too, endless.

I voted, and I must say that I like the amount of effort they are putting in to prevent it from getting hacked and what not. (They are now logging IPs, sending out and authorization e-mail that you must confirm or the vote does not count and several others.)

I have been voting in this for a very long time, and I probably wont stop.  Its fun to get the top 100 issue of DJ Mag too.

Isn't that the whole idea? At least, that's what I'm always doing and I will again this year.
But I will wait until the last moment. Still have some parties coming up, like Mysteryland, so I will wait till after those.

If that's the case... i.e. voting for a DJ (not producer!) then there is only one man that does the business!!.... that's Eddie Halliwell!!!!!!.

OK I may be biased.... but Eddie is a true DJ and deserves to be right up there!!

Fire It Up!!!

I voted for:

Ferry Corsten - Think he has had a fantastic year with the release of Twice in a blue moon and seen him live 4 times this year every time he has had me dancing also loved his re-work of System F Classic out of blue.

Sander Van Doorn - He is my personal fave and managed to catch him 3 times this year very deep which I like.

Eddie Halliwell - Have to agree with the above such a performer he was amazing at Amnesia and that just stuck in my head.

Cosmic Gate - Mainly because of Nic Chagall, they have a very nice album and Nic has done some great work this year such as his remix on Man on the Run which is one of my fave tracks right now.

Richard Durrand - Only found out about him after hearing his remix of Madagascar at New Year and then looked into him some more well impressed with what I have heard and would like to see him live. I think he was at Global last year as I had heard the name before.

I wanted to vote for Simon Patterson as well but forgot about him until it was to late even the likes of Gareth Emery & Showcross could have got in its to hard to say just five imo

Fire It Up!!!

I would like to say the same about Menno de Jong and Leon Bolier!

While I haven't seen Eddie Halliwell live, from one of his radio shows "Fire It Up" that I listened to not long ago, it was honestly the most boring musical experience of my life. One hour-and-a-half in, it was the same minimal electro as at the start, and by the time the more variant trance songs came on, they weren't so great. That's IMO. Like I said, never seen him live, so I wouldn't know about that.

Live he is superb in my opinion he was amazing at Amnesia in Ibiza a couple of weeks ago and even my mate who is not really into trance was dancing along all night.
