DJ Mag Top DJS of 2014 - results -
18 October 2014, at 22:19
Not only has Hardwell won it for a second year in a row, it seems like there are less and less trance DJs near the top.

I think Armin is the only trance DJ in the top 20.

Descending order
20. DVBBS (New Entry)
19. Deorro (New Entry)
18. W&W (down 4)
17. Showtek (up 10)
16. Deadmau5 (down 4)
15. Alesso (down 2)
14. Dash Berlin (down 4)
13. Blasterjaxx (up 58)
12. Afrojack (down 3)
11. Calvin Harris (up 4)
10. Steve Aoki (down 2)
9. Skrillex (up 2)
8. Nicky Romero (down 1)
7. David Guetta (down 2)
6. Avicii (down 3)
5. Tiesto (down 1)
4. Martin Garrix (up 36)
3. Armin Van Buuren (down 1)
2. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (up 4)
1. Hardwell (-)

This topic should win the funniest topic award for 2014 hahahaha

Anyway, nobody cares anymore. Until years ago, artists needed to have accomplished something to get high in the list. The top 10s were full of DJs who were in the business for years and had climbed little by little. Now you only need 1 hit to get high, cz I guess Martin Garrix is hardly even developped as a DJ...

You don't even need to DJ at all to get high, as Steve Aoki even admitted he doesn't do anything during his 'DJ' sets. But those things don't matter anymore. As long as you play some popular tunes, you get a shitload of votes...

I completely agree with you. I figured something was up when Christopher Lawrence got disqualified from the poll (Turns out it was his manager that tried to rig the poll against Lawrence's will).

It ESPECIALLY came to a head when David Guetta won a few years back.

That was a good read. I knew that Dance music had a dark side but not to the extent that was listed in the article.

I see Martin Garrix at that position and I remember when I saw him in Madrid... A kid with very good productions, yes, but as a DJ... poor, very poor.

Armin has the best residency of Ibiza and the best tours, Armin Only and ASOT si I can't explain this years third position.

Lol.

The clues are pretty obvious here that something's up. Consider how a few of the DJS jumped up 30+ spots.

It only makes our own TrancePodium DJ Top 100 stronger. Even saw some people saying on twitter that only the TP list counts for them :)
