While I was reading the latest tiesto news, I was surprised about how much he gets paid per gig.
He was paid 18,000 euros for his private jet costs, 30,000$ before the gig and then he should've received some more after it, plus accomodation costs. He was due to be paid 118,000 euros in total.
Does anyone know how much do the other superstar DJ's get paid, and how much is the salary of an average DJ?

I know a guy that knows a owner of a club, I'll just quote his words.
"Ok I know the owner of a club ( not a famous one but still ) and i asked him about DJ prices :
Average DJ earns 300-500$ a night
Confirmed DJs earns 500-800$
Locally famous DJs can be up to 5.000-10.000$
Worldwide DJs earns more. he told me :
David Guetta : 25.000$
Carl Cox : 50.000$
I dont know others but since they're not in top 10 PvD Tiesto or Armin would take more ...
I think it can be up to 100.000$ a night btw it probably depends on the club etc ..."

yea.. when I used to DJ alot, I used ot make between $300 and $500 a night depending on how long it was.
I miss that haha.

New Years of 2007, Tiesto supposedly played at Avalon in Boston Mass. I heard he reportedly raked in over $100K for the night.

My Friend got Carl Cox (then get cancelled) and his price was US$25,000, exclude the accomodation-transportation (Coxy must get all in first class service),
Tiesto for US$35,000, Above & Beyond US$20,000 (range in 2006-2007 rates)
And,Recently he try to make a deal with AvB and guess, the rate is US$65,000!!!! and can't say no more for PvD (US$65grand above???) Wow!!!! DJs must be Goddamn Rich,,,,

Paul Oakenfold is one of the most expensive DJs. He charges about 20,000 pounds for a gig. I don't know how much that is in US Dollars though.
Now known as Randy Derricott. I may sometimes use the DJ Ranz alias for certain projects though.

I think it's around 40.207 usd.
Anyway, does anyone think that this maybe is alitlle to much pr. gig? Maybe it's ok, since they loose so much for the illegal downloading.. but 40.000 pr gig?!

haha yea.... 65k is a bit much. I would be happy with $500 lol
