SoundLift lost his passion for DJing -

I would like to inform that i have lost all my passion for djing.
Saying so, i have no intention to become a professional dj and play at gigs/concerts. I will remain as a music producer.
If you're still voting for dj mag, remember that i'm not interested, so please vote for other artists except me.
I would like to dedicate my attention to my music insruments, like my guitar.
Music for me is like an hobby and will remain so.

Thanks for your understanding.

Pedro

Never seen or heard him DJ, so I have no idea if he was good or not and if it's a loss. But if his passion is producing and he continues to do that, Ithink it's all for the better. Else it probably would've just been producers sets.

Now he not only did that, but decided to quit trance altogether.

Quiting making trance is a decidion i made after one year of thinking. It's not something you decide the day before and i have lots of reasons to leave.
First because there is to much hate about "SoundLift" and the tracks. The tracks can be the most amazing tracks on earth that nobody cares, always the same guys have t
he best spots. The guys that can't produce at all and pay others to do tracks for them and they keep smilng. It's just so easy to know they dont know nothing about music by the way they talk, it's all about the girls the money and the gigs. So what im doing here in the midle of this kind of people? It's not the worild i imagined for trance at all!

The fans? What kind of fans download my songs for free, upload them on youtube and promote their own channels using my tracks? Is that what you call support?
I have nearly 6000 fans, imagine if at least 1000 people would buy just one song, i would get a good amount to use in my studio
gear and instruments and etc, but nooo. People just like to download for free.

So keep destroying the scene, i dont want to be part of what you/they are doing now.

They call it evolution, when they want to produce tracks to play live in american gigs.
Evoulution?! To worse? Trouse and dubstep? Not for me thanks.

So this is my decision, i don't want to be part of this "scene" anymore, because it's all fake.

Of course i know a bunch of fans, nearly 100, that really buy the music and support me.
To those, all my respect and i'm very thankful.

But i want to create something more dificult, with more details and emotions, something that is not just a 4/4 beat with randoom presets. Something that people love to hear, instead of going comecial. Something from the heart.

I hope you understand my decision now.

Thanks.

He seems angry, both fellow producers and fans got talked down :(

I quite trance too.

Who cares? ZZZZ! I couldn't care if anyone quit trance even if I liked them. They moan about the scene but do fuck all about it.

I don't understand 1 part. He's all wining about that the scene is fake, but at the end he writes that he wants to create something more difficult. Than why wasn't he doing that already? Apparently he doesn't like to produce trance (anymore), then why did he still do it? You should produce what you like. ALWAYS. You can think about quitting trance for a year, but then he probably didn't like what he produced anymore. Why? Because he wanted to stay in the scene? Was he maybe fake too?

he has made some great uplifting trance songs, brought out a compilation in August this year, I thought it was good..

and P.S. I don't think "producers" should ever get a cent for making music... downloading music is the only way to go

Oh wow, yet another one...
I wonder if this happens only with trance? I mean, i wonder if djs/producers of house/techno etc "quit" those genres too for similar reasons? This got so often the last two years in the trance scene, it makes me sad and on the other hand it makes me appreciate even more djs like Armin.
... Endless love and trust in trance ...
