Your TOP 3 Radiohshows? -
29 September 2013, at 05:04
and why???

My top 3 are:
Markus Schulz:GDJB, I like the proggy and trancey sound to it
M.I.K.E.: Club Elite Sessions , it has like a "dark sound' to it when it's proggy, can't put my finger into it. But also when it's trancey. I think it's the low soundquality?, but I like it, haha.
The Thrillseekers: night music podcast, just trancey, good song selection.

gotta say that Raneem: drop zone, sneijder podcast, and A&B group therapy are up there as well. I heard that arnej will have his podcast back soon, looking forward to that.
Anyways, it's always interesting to see what everyone listens to and what type of shows they like.

Great question! :D I would have to say my top three right now are:
Kearnage - the variety of music styles. He plays a bit of techno, deep house, and trance. The tracks he chooses are always bangers - especially from his label (Kearnage is releasing a lot of amazing tracks) It's nice that it's every month rather than every week because you are almost guaranteed new tracks in every episode.
Open Up - pretty much the same reason as Kearney's. Simon's accent is nice to listen to as well. Hahaha ;)
And FSOE - I listen to this when I want to hear lots of uplifting. Tracklist is always on-point.

There are a lot of radio shows that I havent even listened to, to be honest, but those three are ones that I tune into every episode and always love.

The Menno de Jong Cloudcast - Cz of how he always knows how to find amazing stuff that nobody else seems to find. I love the way he always build up his sets/mixes. Heck, I love everything what he does :<3: He always surprises me, which for me is very important with a DJ. You can never tell what he will play except for maybe 5% of his tracklists. With other DJs that's mostly 50%+. Shame he stopped with the weekly Intuition Radio Show, which used to be my favorite before. Now we have to settle with once a month.
The TrancePodium Podcast - Do I really need to explain why? :p
M.I.K.E. - Club Elite Sessions - I love his proggy starts building it up to amazing 'pure' trance tunes. Actually the same reason why I love The Menno de Jong Cloudcast. The same build up, the same way of finding those great unknown tracks :)

I also listen to ASOT, to hear which new tracks will become popular, many great tracks also, but I don't like everything. Especially from the 1st hour. I also listen regularely to Andy Duguids After Dark Sessions, cz it's different from the rest and mostly when I have nothing else to do on Tuesday evening. Two other of my favorite shows are Solaris International and GDJB, but both shows are sceduled too early for me and I can almost never listen to them live. Else both would be in my top 5 ;) I like Rielism as well, but Mondays are inconvenient for me. And then Corsten's Countdown. I'm still listening to it every week, hoping it will be great like the old days, when it was one of my favorite radioshows, but mostly I get disappointed :(

good question!

Solaris International Rich has great taste in electronic music, and is a trance legend. Always announces the track info, label, opinion, etc.
Le Saux solid uplifting trance sets.. I love trance. :hp:
Armin Just because hes an OG in the trance radio shows. But I don't listen to his show as much as before.

With so many artists out there, im trying to listen to new shows. After reading some of the users posts, The Menno de Jong Cloudcast and The Thrillseekers: night music podcast sound interesting!

Menno de Jong Cloudcast - Menno is just an amazing person and his sets clearly show why. The stuff he picks are right after my "perfect sound".

FSOE - Aly & Fila are amazing. High energy with amazing tracks.

Kearnage - Just massive and always a good time.

and of course... (cough) the TrancePodium Podcast and (cough) An Electronic Reality..... hehe. /end shameless self promotions ;)

I look at that above list of the top three and think wow.. times have changed. A few years back and it would have read ASOT, GDJB and TATW.

I checked out Kearnage out, and i'm hooked!. Not a big fan of techno, but I like it because he mixes things up. I would a love to hear a full proggy set form him thought:<3:

These are my monthy must-hears:

Goodgreef Radio hosted by Jordan Suckley - so energetic tech and uplifting, love this guy and this radio show as well.

In Sessions hosted by Tucandeo - amazing 2 hrs dose of the dark side of trance. So dark, so deep, so relaxing.

Radio Unity hosted by Orkidea - nice selection of progressive and uplifting stuff. Found my tune of the year in one of the episodes. :p

Toxicavenger, if you like tucandeos stuff check out their "even deeper" episodes on soundcloud, better than their regular show in my opinion
