Dear members and followers, after a long thought, I've come to the decision to stop with TrancePodium. After putting all my passion in this website for nearly 15 years I no longer feel the dedication that has driven me all that time. It is time for me to move on.

It is time for me to spend more time with my family, my other hobbies, or simply, just be able to relax every once and a while. It was an absolute joy to be part of this comminity for nearly 15 years and (co-)lead this website for the past 13 years to the name it has now in the Trance scene.

It is impossible to describe the pride I am feeling. I feel thankful also, to those who have helped grow TrancePodium all those years. Not in the last place founder Marjan, but also the moderators we used to have, Michelle for her amazing interviews, our members, readers, listeners, followers and the people who have voted in our polls. TrancePodium wouldn't have been TrancePodium without you all.

TrancePodium won't go away without a bang of course. Therefore, on November 29th the TrancePodium 15 Years Anniversary will be The Final Celebration.

I can't believe it ... And to be honest, I am slightly shocked. Over the past years, TrancePodium has become an integral part of my life, it has given me a huge amount of joy and pleasure. I will miss all this - news, podcasts, releases, opportunities to win cool CDs, and most importantly - the TRUE ATMOSPHERE OF THE TRANCE-COMMUNITY. Thank you for your tremendous work!!! But maybe this is not a completely final decision, maybe just take a long pause and then come back again if strength and inspiration appear?

Unexpected news! Trance Podium has become a part of our music life and a very native portal. It will be very sad without him, because this is already a whole story! We will miss you!

I was only 17 when I joined and grew up as the site progressed. Since then, I've learned a lot and have gotten so many opportunities thanks to you.

Trance Podium played a MASSIVE role in getting me as far as I have in my electronic music journey. And I have made some amazing and lasting friendships through TP as well.

Trance Podium is something that will forever be a part of me.

It's so sad to this TrancePodium at its end. TrancePodium was the one BIG portal for all true trance related issues with great interviews, amazing content and great votings. Over the years the big votings got more and more important.... So it's definitely sad to see you going. But absolutely understandable... Family is more important than this project - and if you don't feel the passion any more it's time to say "Goodbye"

This is totally devastating news... i have a long history with the place... early 2009 i was searching for ASOT tracklists and i found them from here, very quickly after the broadcasted radioshow... and this is one of those very few places in internet that i visit daily... i have enjoyed all the interviews, news, competitions and i am especially happy that my mixes have found home here...
Of course i understand your decision, Remco... but do you shut the site down for good or leave it still open for posting and reading?

Thank you all for the kind words. I'm really proud that we've managed to get this website where it is now, an important position in the trance scene. I wouldn't have been able to do that without the help of founder Marjan of course and the old moderators to give the website a good start. And you guys of course. Don't think I'm not feeling guilty for letting all of you and the whole trance scene down. But I have to do this.

@Remy: The subscriptions have recently been paid, so the website will remain online at least untill September, and maybe I extend the subscriptions one more time, I don't know yet. But at least it won't go down right away.

Sad news... Disappointment... TrancePodium is the best internet resource for trance in all its richness. I, like many others, will miss all this, because every day I visit the site several times. Maybe there is at least a tiny hope that in a year or a little later you will change your mind? I understand everything perfectly - a lot of work, a crazy pace of life, and family and children are really the most important thing. If my English was better, I would be ready to help and carry out any assignments on the site absolutely free of charge. I believe that TrancePodium is not finished yet and will delight and surprise again someday.
