An antivirus program that does the exact contrary..... -
26 December 2009, at 20:18
Hey guys.

On Chirstmas Day, my mother's computer was infected with a computer virus known as SecurityTool.  Despite its name, this program does the exact opposite of its purpose.  It is malware installed on your computer without your knowledge/consent and once it gets on your computer, it will perform fake scans and fake warnings will appear saying your computer is infected and that the infections cannot be cured until you purchase the product.  DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES do it!  This is an elaborate trap set by hackers!  Fall for it and you can kiss your identity goodbye!

It took me quite a long time but I finally managed to defeat it.

Now yet another similar fake antivirus program has surfaced called "VISTA ANTIVIRUS PRO".  It has been made to look like the Firewall Center that appears in Windows' Control Panel.  Like SecurityTool,  it will perform fake scans and display fake infections.  Warnings will appear saying your computer is infected and that the infections cannot be cured until you purchase the product.  DON'T FALL FOR IT unless you want your credit card and your identity to be at the mercy of an evil hacker!

I managed to get rid of it within an hour by killing the process in the Task Manager.

Anyone have this problem?  Lets hear your thoughts.
