Another trance forum shutting down: URTranceZone -

After 7 years, URTranceZone will soon be shut down. The owner has stated that a lack of time is the problem.

What do you think? Sad for another forum being shut down or another opportunity for us?

I hate seeing trance sites shut down and die off. Even though they are our direct competition, I don't really see them like that. Sites like TrancePodium, URTranceZone and Trance.nu exist for trance music, and when one of them goes down the scene gets hurt, which is sad.

I'm sure their founder had a really good reason to shut it down, because pulling the plug on something you've invested so much time in is an extremely hard decision.

I agree.

URTranceZone Members/Guest,

I first want to thank all of you for being loyal and supportive to the site. After close to 7 years of being the destination for all the sets from events; I feel that it’s time to close shop and pull the plug on this little project known as URTranceZone.

During our long history, I did have the honor to cross paths with many awesome people. I will forever cherish the moments that we shared. For example the crew that made it to Aly & Fila’s debut at 1015 in San Francisco. That night is still embedded in my mind and in my heart. You guys were amazing.

Also, who can forget all those memorable weekends that we spent seating around our PC’s listening to our broadcasts of resident DJ’s destroy our cyber dance floors lol. THANK YOU ALL RESIDENTS.

Like the saying goes “all good things come to an end,” and I feel that for this site that moment has been looming for a while.

Thank you guys!!!

If you are interested in acquiring our domain, let me know. We have an established flow of traffic.

Why?

I don't feel that I have enough time in my schedule to dedicate to the site. The site requires constant work for recording sets, editing sets, uploading, downloading, etc. I had all the time in the world when I was younger, but now I feel that there's not enough time in a day. My site was known for allowing members to download from FAST direct servers. Now that I have no time to upload sets, most sets found on my site are posted by individuals that post their URL's on all forums, these links are covered with advertising, slow speeds, and now even blocked for many US members. I can’t continue to upkeep my servers, so for this reason I feel that I must pull the plug.
