Being Negative... -

Sup people

I have a new topic that I would like everyone's opinion on.

What is the reason for negativity ?

Why do you feel it is necessary to give negative feedback. ?????? :yell:

I don't want to judge anyone, iam just curious.

Negative feedback, as in negative music review?
If that's what you mean, then I think that artists should welcome negative criticism, as long as they are constructive and make a point, because you can only improve yourself when someone points out your weak points.

Even though everyone would like to hear only positive words about them, negative criticism, in my opinion, is much more important for a developing artist.

Then again, some people just try to put you down and don't add any value with their criticism, so you should learn to recognize those and ignore them.

For artists, I agree what Marjan wrote. But in general, if I speak for myself, I wouldn't call it being negative, but being honest. When I like something I say it, but when I don't like something I say it as well. It's all about opinions and that's what forums are for. Ofcourse there are too many people who only talk negative about things. Those should be ignored ;)

I understand... nicely said. the two sides ( positive and negative ) of negative opinions. I agree completely.

Where my point started was with a comment which had no value. Not to me- but towards another artist I respect.

Thanks for the replies, it cleared up a lot. :D

There are exceptions though.....

Everyone is entitled to be extra negative to Mr. David Guetta haha.

No agree with both Marjan & Remco. If you go through life with only hearing positive things then you are going to take a massive fall one day. Everyone has a different opinion and I think any feedback positive or negative is great but would expect some sort of balance.

They're are people in this world that are negative 24/7 and these are the people who we should be ignoring.

As Remco said he is honest either was and I like people being 100% honest with me and would imagine Artist are the same. If fans are not happy then they wont buy the music, simple so they need this negativity / critisism and I am sure their lables would appreciate it too as long as it is constructive and not like our hate for Mr Guetta :)

Always thought that was pretty constructive...

Or am I mixing that word up with 'destructive'?
