Euro 2012 Prediction League -
30 May 2012, at 20:24

As said, I'm also going to run a Euro 2012 Prediction League.

Rules
The rules are the same as with the Football Prediction League, meaning that you just have to predict all the matches that I enter. Predicting the exact score is 5 points, predicting the right outcome (who wins or a draw) is 3 points and if both aren't right then you can still win 1 point if you have one of the 2 scores predicted. F.e. you predicted 2-1, but it was 0-1, then you will get 1 point. Every round I pick 1 topmatch, or more (which will be visible in bold), with what you can earn double amount of points!

Added rules for the knock-out phase:
- scores predicted are after 90 minutes
- when predicted a score with a winner, but it ends with a draw, 1 point can still be won if the predicted winner is the final winner after additional time/penalties)
- when predicted a draw, also predict the final winner, which can give you also 1 extra point
- when predicted a draw, the predicted winner does also count when there's a winner after 90 minutes. This gives you 1 point
- the score predicted after 90 minutes, can give you 1 point if it's the score after 120 minutes instead

Example 1:
You predicted 2-1, but the score after 90 minutes is 1-1 and after 120 minutes is 2-1.
You get 1 (for the right predicted 1 of 2-1) + 1 (for the right winner) + 1 (for the right score after 120 minutes) = 3 points.
It's the same amount as if you predicted 2-1, but the score is 3-1 after 90 minutes.

Example 2:
You predicted 1-1 with team 2 as a winner. The score after 90 minutes is 1-1. Nobody's scoring in the additional time and team 2 wins the penalties.
You get 5 (for the right score after 90 minutes) + 1 (for predicting the right to win the additional time/penalties) = 6 points

Example 3:
You predict 1-1 with team 1 as a winner. The score after 90 minutes is 0-0, after 120 minutes it's 1-1 and team 1 wins the penalties.
You get 3 (for predicting a draw) + 1 (for predicting the right score after 120 minutes) + 1 (for the right team to win the penalties) = 5 points

For bonusmatches, all scores count double ofcourse.

You can decide yourself which matches you predict when, unless they haven't started yet! So you don't have to predict all the matches in 1 time, you can do it per 2 matches or per 8 matches or whatever you want :D

Here are all the matches from the 1st round:

I tried to guess / predict ... but than I realised if I predict than I would unwillingly cheer for that team ... and actually when I look at all those teams - I wish luck to all of them , and I won't mind any of the teams winning competition, or even single game, as long as it's fair. So, I'm out of prediction this time :D

Not a great first day for me. At least I'll get some points for exact number of goals and predicting the winner.

Tomorrow's matches will be much more exciting.
