OMG! That is awful! RIP

After seeing this, unbelievable that there were some people pissed off here a few weeks ago when a festival got cancelled due to heavy wind. Good call.

This has been on the news all morning. Scary that they did not tell everyone to re-locate while the winds were hitting almost hurricane strength.

Poor people and families.

Apparently they did though, the sad thing is that the collapse came as thousands of concert-goers were being evacuated from the fairground grandstand to a nearby coliseum. :(

RIP.

Sad thing is they waited way too long to do it. The city caused it a "freak accident" and said it was "fluke" weather. They waited to the last minutes to start moving people out of the area when they received the severe storm warning fifteen minutes prior to it even reaching the fairgrounds. This has actually upset the NWS so much they posted a big article about the event this morning stating the neglect of the event handlers and how they should have moved them inside immediately after receiving the severe storm warning.

Its such a shame that human life was lost to to someone else's negligence.

That is disgusting! It sounds like Love Parade all over again. On another scale ofcourse, but people seem to be too ignorant to learn from other's mistakes. Some more deaths that could've been prevented. Some people need to get punished real bad for this.

My condolences to those affected, but that show shouldn't have gone on in the first place if that stage wasn't stable. We have building codes and things need to get approved by the hosting city for events to take place. If they let that weak stage pass, that was pretty irresponsible of them.
Now known as Randy Derricott. I may sometimes use the DJ Ranz alias for certain projects though.
