[HappyBirthday Jaxx]

Well Jacquelina and I crossed paths just under a year ago, we still argue over the "who added who" on Facebook thingy..  so we settled on .. "We added each other mutually" (even though she did add me :P) .. and apparently if you read her Bio below, I was smitten by her (I dont recall admitting to such a venture .. ever :D)

Anyways to the crux of all of this, right now as I am writing this Jacquelina doesnt have a clue as to what I`m doing, thing is .. Teesy and I have been working undercover over the past few weeks on a secret lil project.

With the help of the awesome Miss Teesy, we have compiled a Birthday Gift for Jacquelina .. well .. we`re a millions miles away from her and postage to Canada costs ALOT :P .. so we settled on a Guest Mix from Teesy to Jacky as a Birthday Gift .. and being the TranceAddict that Jacky is.. we know she`ll appreciate this more than the Gold Earings we had planned for her initially anyways :P

With much Love and the Best of Wishes from Teesy & Myself .. Jacquelina Barrons-Tracey ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY !! ..   THIS IS YOUR BIRTHDAY MIX !!!

About the Birthday Girl:

Her journey into the world of EDM begins when she was around the age of 10, she has an Aunt who's a decade older, and has already moistened her pallette with EDM. Her Aunt introducers her to Everything But The Girl - Missing and she fell inlove with it right then and there. A couple of years pass on by and she's listening to the radio and hears a remix of a Delerium track called "Silence" by Tiesto. Her ears are heightened and her journey takes off in full force from that day on. When she was 17 her friend sent her a torrent on MSN for Markus Schulz "Without You Near", she downloaded it, and fell more in love with this music since.
She knew of Armin before but I found out Markus was playing at a club called "Bleu" in Detroit. Her and her friend go to see him perform. It was lovely cause in the states you can legally go to most clubs if you're female and 18. So, she started going to his shows on a regular basis if he was ever in Chicago - Detroit - Windsor - Toronto - Montreal because it's not that much of a mission for her to see him in any of those cities.

A duo team open a club in Windsor called "The Boom Boom Room", they're Toronto natives, are very friendly with the EDM scene cause of The Guvernment, know Charles the owner, and were able to get into contact with David Lewis (Armins agent/business partner for Armada). They started bringing in Armada artists to The Boom Boom Room and were able to branch off from there. They bring Markus Schulz and Armin Van Buuren in the same year. She gets to meet with both DJs at the club and schmooze with other patrons/industry folk and it kicked off from there.

Fastforward a wee bit of time and she gets a Facebook and start tagging herself amongst other DJs in pictures. With Facebook you can see on their profiles that so and so has tagged them in their album. They have die hard fans that keep up to date with their profiles and regularly check them out. Then you get the random adds from Trance Addicts around the world. She was able to do some heavy networking over the years and a year ago a Sameer Mohamed from South Africa adds her to Facebook, he becomes absolutely smitten of her dedication and appreciation for Armada.

Sameer works for Trance Podium as an interviewer and thought to tag her along on his interviews with artists cause she always has refreshing questions to ask them and it's entertaining. So, she starts to add artists to her Facebook to get in contact with them to ask if they're interested. She pretty much has anyone she could possibly want on her Facebook in the EDM industry Artist wise.

For years she's snooped around at events going on around the world. Jacquelina has a deep appreciation for the unknown artists who open up for the major artists. She'll check out Ministry of Sound, Gatecrasher, Gods Kitchen, Cream, Amnesia, Space, Vision, Crobar, Pacha, Cafe del Moar, etc.. on the net, take a peak at their flyers, and add the unknowns to Facebook. She'll listen to their work and talk to them. Jacquelina has found so many polished hidden gems from around the world that I want to bring to Canada and give them more recognition and exposure with my current contacts.

Jacquelina met a DJ from South Africa through Sameer and his name is Shane Halcon. He's a label manager for Sheer which distributs Vandit (Paul Van Dyks label), BlackHole (Tiestos label), and Armada (Armin Van Buurens label). Jacquelina was completely smitten by Shane, they'd talk for hours, and one night she mentions what she want to contribute to the industry. Shane tells her that he met a girl from Toronto in Amsterdam a couple of years ago who was at Armada party. He said she's Jacquelina long lost musical twin sister that she have to meet. He set up an introduction with her in a group email on Hotmail. It turns out she's his agent and has incorporated her own company called AUDiOLUSH and she's been looking for a versed female EDM loving lady to help her promote prospect events. They talked and gabbed for days and weeks. Then she felt comfortable with hiring Jacquelina on as head of promotions.

AUDiOLUSH is a company that wishes to bring the finest international electronic musicians to Toronto. AUDiOLUSH is an experience, a sub-culture, a lifestyle which blends beats with opulence at every turn. They strive to introduce to Toronto’s club scene with the new, the up and coming and established import acts and expose patrons to an experience like no other. Everything is changing in this constantly growing in this metropolis; something is on the horizon, an “electronic renaissance” of sorts. Since 2000 they’ve seen a steady increase of electronic artists sweeping Toronto’s then more underground crowd off their feet. Now, 9 years later, Toronto has become the prime North American destination for electronic artists to perform in. Also, with the addition of major Canadian electronic productions being released, the club patrons choice of music is changing. There is a clear shift towards genres such as trance, house and minimal to name a few.

Jacquelina is responsible for ensuring each of their events are professional and colourfully promoted in our signature LUSH style. She ensures that she is there to see to that they are taken care of and treated to a fabulous, stylish, memorable party.

This is a recent business endeavour which she was blessed with and is looking extremely forward to bringing this into light. Jacquelina is very career driven and her goal is to take this and let it flourish.

When I'm not working she likes to travel. She does alot of domestic travelling. She's in Windsor, London, Toronto, and Montreal frequently. Usually the basis behind that is to see world class DJs behind the ones and twos. Eventually she'd like to own my own entertainment company and become successful with it all over the world. She would deal with primarily clubbing events, fashion shows, sporting events, and charity events. Her goal is to have this accomplished by her 25th birthday and from there owning her own club would be a dream. Jacquelina plans on franchising it and having several of them internationally wide

** A Special Thanks from me goes to miss teesy for this project, even though I know she has mad love for Jacky and would have done this mix either way, I shall say it again .. Thank you Teesy .. NOW GIVE ME YOUR MOBILE NUMBER !! :D .. .
