It's under the age of 18 in Vermont that everything there applies, not just under 17 years.

Anyway, congrats!!!

Here we're just not allowed to drive under the age of 18. Only with a certified drive instructor, you can drive at the age of 17. But from 18 and with a driverslicence of course haha, we can drive alone from the beginning. We don´t need anybody next to us anymore

In Florida, the legal driving age is 16.  However, when you turn 15, you become eligible for what's called a "LEARNER'S PERMIT".  This allows you to drive but with some restrictions.  You cannot operate a vehicle between certain hours of the night and when you do drive, you must have a licensed driver in the car with you aged 21 or over.  Once you hold your permit successfully for about a year, you are able to get your driver's license.  If you are 16 or 17 and have a license though, you may drive alone or with your peers, but you still can't operate a vehicle between 11pm-6am if you are 16 and 1am-5am if you are 17 unless you are going to and from work or school.
