As many of you know I am embarking on a solo trip to Canada and the United States from the 30th May to the 5th July this year. I'm financing it pretty much myself by working full time, have been doing it since November and doing it right up until I go at the end of May, as I need to raise a budget of £3000 to pay for accomodation, food, general spending money, the Canadian Grand Prix, flights and getting around.
My dates are as follows (only reason they'll change now is hostel availability).
I leave on the 30th May from Heathrow arriving in Toronto the same day.
I then go onto Montreal on the 8th, before leaving for New York on the 15th, taking the 10 hour train between the cities.
I'm then off to Washington D.C. on the 23rd June, before heading off to Philadelphia on the 30th, where i'm spending five nights. I'll therefore be in Phili for US Independence Day, which i'm sure will be an interesting experience.
So what exactly is the point of this thread other than me blabbering on about my exciting (for me anyway) trip?
Well many of you guys are from Canada and the US, and i'm keen to know if you've got any tips, suggestions, any well hidden gems to visit, any massive clubnights/venues or just any advice for me! I'm keen to meet some of you too if I get the chance.
I might pin this actually if that's OK, just so I can make sure I can see where it is. Can un-pin it if that's not OK.
