I think we found an alternate solution to our Gas problem.  Our country has found a way to make ethanol or fuel made out of corn.  This does not come without drawbacks though.  Because we are converting corn to gas, corn as well as certain food prices have close to tripled!  Godd luck in trying to use this without damaging your wallet.

I have heard of an experiment a group of college kids did where they rigged a car to use cow manure for fuel.

I wonder if there are any other solutions that would not punish our wallets....

Well, I think there's already a car in the works made to run on water. Don't know how much that will cost though.

Here's another thing. If the gas problem continues, we look back at the root of the problem, which is crude oil prices. Now, think about all the CDs in the future. They found a way to make organic plastic, but by that fact it has the tendency to degrade.

Corn has a problem in that as you say Randy food prices escalate if there is less of this. I remember a University here in England was developing a car to run on Hydrogen which I expect will perhaps become the renewable fuel in the near future of choice.
