R.I.P. Steven Jobs. -
6 October 2011, at 00:01
Sad news comes from the technologic world. Steven Jobs, a co-founder of Apple and Chief executive of Pixar, has passed away on the night of October 5, 2011 at the age of 56.

It was thanks to Apple that I discovered my love for creating music. Many thanks for all of your contributions Jobs. See you soon.
Now known as Randy Derricott. I may sometimes use the DJ Ranz alias for certain projects though.

I couldn't believe it when I read it on twitter a few minutes ago.

RIP Steve Jobs! A man who had a huge impact on the world of technology. A true visionary who will be missed a lot.

If anyone hasn't watched this, do it now. One of the best motivational speeches IMO

Wow! Not much reduces me to tears but this did. His speech, truly, is something I will take with me for the rest of my life.

RIP Steve,

I have been rather ignorant and not realised the impact this man made in mine and many other lives until recently.

I also did not know that he had this terrible illness and thought the reports on twitter last night were nothing but a joke due to the non reponse to the iPhone 4s. How wrong could I be :(

He has took technology to the next level time and time again and will be sadly missed.

While I am not a huge fan of Apple Products or their methods I do appreciate what Job's has contributed, it is a shame to see anyone lose a life that young.

Well over half the music producers in the world use a Mac now. Not only was Jobs responsible for the way you listen to music, but also the way it was created in the first place.

I hope Apple stay true to him in the future.

That's not true though Richard, much of the stuff Apple have released was already on the market however what Apple were good at was making user friendly products.

A big loss to the world.

RIP

I myself never used any of Apple's products tbh, but there are millions out there who did.

This is a tough one for me as I have belonged to the Apple Family for 5 years and had Steve welcome me and a few others to the company back in 07.

We are all a tight nit family, and we just lost the biggest and most influential part of it.

He was a fantastic person and really loved what he did.

He will be greatly missed.

I watched the video. Those are WORDS TO LIVE BY.

Damn you, Pancreatic Cancer, for taking this wonderful, intelligent and thoughtful man away from us.

Thats what i meant. I know stuff like logic was avalible on PC when Emagic owned it, and I used it along with Cubase and a few others on PC for years. But once I switched to Mac and apple took Logic over the user experience and freedom to be creative was so much better it was unreal. But im getting away from the point.

A sad sad loss.
