Maybe we should just all vote for Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and David Guetta and make sure that nobody, really nobody will take that list serious. Ever again!

The problem is, lots of artists are making fun of it, but they all still want (read: need) to be high on that list in order to get invited by promoters...

Only voting to get the 30 free tracks they are promising. I will then upload them to the database so that you can just grab them there.
Now known as Randy Derricott. I may sometimes use the DJ Ranz alias for certain projects though.

Only if trance promoters continue to be narrow minded and lazy. Unlike Luminosity?

There are lots of Techno DJ's for example no where near the top 100 that get lots of gigs.

Luminosity asked the fans/visitors in a poll who they wanted to see. That might be the best way?

DILEMMA:

Anyone that votes in the DJ mag poll gets a pack of 30 free and exclusive tracks from Trackitdown right?

Well, I was going to add them to the database, but then I see this from TRACKITDOWN on their FAQ:

All of the tracks downloaded through our website are 'watermarked' with a special form of copy protection that uniquely identifies the owner of each track.

I thought that adding the 30 tracks to the Database would be the same as making it easy to download a song without liking an artist's facebook.

I DO know how to remove the watermark and I want to add the 30 songs to the database so that you guys don't have to vote in the DJ Mag poll if you don't want to. At the same time, I don't want to get in trouble from Trackitdown.

What should I do?

Don't add them. Unlike the free tracks that DJs give away, these are still copyright protected. This is Trackitdown giving away the tracks for free, not the DJs ;)

Her face on any picture is doing the same thing to me.

Anyway, I'll be skipping the poll just like I did last year. There is only one poll that matters.

Ill vote to get the free tracks... thats it. I really have no faith or value in this poll as I used to so many years ago.

**edit** WTF.. I thought the Paris hilton thing was a joke... she's really DJing... (if thats what you want to call it) my god. What a disgrace to the whole scene, no matter what you spin. I hope to god she really does win the poll.. it will really show what a joke it is.

My god..... the Mayans were right...

The poll already proved to be a joke last year when David Guetta won it, so they'll keep the tradition going this year also. :)

Now it is indeed an interesting idea to vote to get those 30 tracks... Does anyone know what tracks the voters get or they can pick the tracks themselves?

Its a pre selected group of tracks which also comes with a mix.

Its called the DJ Mag Top 100 Album.

The tracks range from House, Progressive, Dubcrap, Trance and some really distorted Hard House. Its got some decent and some good tracks in there. The whole collection is not worth keeping.
