What do you guys think of Gabriel & Dresden? -

Are any of you guys Gabriel & Dresden fans? They finally reunited in 2011 and starting touring together. I will have a chance to see them when they play at Nocturnal Wonderland in September. I've been listening to some of their sets recently and I've quite liked some of their older sets (before they split), but I haven't been enjoying their new sets quite as much. They seem to be branching more into the electro house style and don't seem to be playing as much progressive melodic stuff. I really like their productions though.

LOVE their productions and their older sets. I have not heard them since they reunited though, but I do know they are working on the Andain project again which is fantastic news.

If their live sets are going electro house... ick. hopefully their newer productions (if they do any) will still be nice and chunky progressive house. :hp:

Gabriel & Dresden's new DJ Mix CD, MIXED FOR FEET, will be in stores at the end of this month.

The master disc for Andain's long-awaited debut album has been burned. They will release a couple more singles before disclosing any more info about it.
Now known as Randy Derricott. I may sometimes use the DJ Ranz alias for certain projects though.

I pretty much agree with this

I saw them at least twice now since the reunion, once with A&B and once at a festival and it wasnt that good. Even though they mashed up REM - Losing my Religion at A&B Miami and I love that song mashed up with a good beat. Definitely not very trancy tho LOL

Hey, Pookie I might be going to Nocturnal Wonderland, thinking of going both days, Friday looks great if they add one more big trance name and Saturday has some good DJs and a bunch of mediocre DJs, some of them are bound to surprise us ^_^

I hope you're going to Armin Only : Mirage, that will be Epic

Ohh cool Rene, you might be flying in for Nocturnal? :O Or are you already going to be in California? Let me know if you end up going. :) Yeah the lineup seems pretty good to me and I actually haven't seen any of the artists before besides Kaskade. I already have my tickets for both days.

Haha, I actually live in Los Angeles, I am on vacation in europe this summer, but my nationality is German, that is why my TP location shows Germany ^_^

Hope to see you there, I am undecided about which day

Yes it is, I think it's outdoors and should be 8 or 9 quality hours of trance ^_^
I got VIP [free drinks] tickets for it already, I can't wait

Yeah, hope to see you at both events, I might buy a two day pass as well for Wonderland if I can get some buddies to go ^_^

Ooh exciting, I'll definitely think about it. I'm low on funds right now though so that may be a limiting factor.

I gotta say, they usually play music that I don't normally listen, but for some reason, I really enjoy their sets. Haven't heard one I wouldn't like so far.

I am listening to Dave Dresden's Starkid Tribute set once again. This is one of sets I will never get tired of, just really sad because it is of such cause.

I will be happy to. Here is a tribute site, where you can get tribute mixes, some unreleased tracks, and read about the tragic accident.
