Listening to this right now. So far it is a really well put together album. If you are able to, listen to this on a big system. Its just layered with beautiful sounds that sweep around you.
In between those lush sounds is Mavie Marcus' beautiful voice telling each story in such a wonderful way.
The two classic, yet unreleased tracks, "Ave Maria" and "You Once Told Me" get a very nice update to a more current sound from when they were originally produced almost ten years ago. I still love the originals, but this is another nice way to listen to them.
The album has a nice rotation of sounds as well. From the more upbeat "Turn Up The Sound" and "Like" to lofty sounds in "Promises" and "What It's Like", the album really takes you on a nice journey of crafted landscapes and lush, yet sometimes twisted soundscapes.
The mastering on the album is nothing short of wnderful. The channels come together with a beautiful front stage and at times almost sound as if you were listening in 5.1 audio.
Overall the album is a definate pick up if you love Andain, or love more ambient sounds to relax at night or in the morning.
Either way, pull up your favourite chair, settle in and get lost with Andain.
