Downloading the radio shows -
28 August 2010, at 16:32
I have noticed recently with all the radio show links almost none work or are purely pay sites. I don't mind paying in principle for a site but with my luck I join lets say megaupload and anything I want is hosted by someone else. Also any shows more than a few months old have been deleted by the host so they are really just taking up space in here.................

Its the wonderful DJ James Grant :<3: from Ajunabeats that I want to download, anyone got any ideas how I can get a hold of all his shows without going to itunes? Or being constantly told by the links to the shows in here not to darken their doorsteps

Gents?

All the download links to every radio show are posted just below the playlist, they are free to download so no u dont have to join megaupload or rapidshare to download the music, but some download links do expire after not being used for a while in that case u can always ask one some1 from TP staff to re-upload the links and  then your all set :) but the download links are free u just need to know where to click to download them its fairly simple

Most (all?) of the file upload sites delete the files after a while, so if you've tried to download an old episode it's highly likely that the link is not valid any more.

However, there is a big chance that the uploader or another member still has that file, so you can either ask in the specific topic for a reupload, send a private message to the poster, or both.

Yes I know I could contact an individual member and they all seem a good bunch of guys that would share a file, but my point really is that a lot of the uploads are NOT available and that is I guess due to the file sharing companies
Example I just went to download james grant 137:

Hotfile
Letibit
upload
sharing bonus file
rapidshare

All of them either have deleted file or are fishing for you to join as premier member. Rapidshare has never the last few months had a file I wanted

I know its free and I have got great music from this site Im just trying to make those aware that the options are no longer that great for any file more than say 6 months old

I have just gone to page 4, 5 and 6 of the radio show downloads and was unable to download any. All file sharer relayed the same basic message : file deleted.

As this section is for suggestions and feedback may I be as bold as to suggest just deleting pages that are of no use.

They are useful for people who are looking for tracklist or want to request a reupload though

Why would someone want a track listing of a show they cant download. Isnt it a bit like trying on a pair of shoes, deciding on them and then being told they are not available?

Stock up on the shoes if thats the business you are in would make more sense, same as have the download available if that is what you are advertising.

If a forum member posted a thread with say a title of TATW photos and you clicked that post and saw a message saying no photos, please contact the member and ask him to upload the photos again, would you?

There are alot of pages like that maybe the owners just forget to actually delete the web pages hey they have other stuff to do 2 u know.  And your making things more complicated when actually its quite simple

Depends how badly you want it Rob, I have asked for a few files to be re-uploaded and they have been which is great, I am also someone that will look at tracklists even if I dont listen to the actual set, sometimes its just good to keep an eye on what people are playing.

Is deposit files the preferred uploader now? Just curious as it's a bit of a pain in the a** waiting 30+ mintues to dload something when you want to listen to it on the go. That said I appreciate people go to the hassle to upload them for us.

Wow 30+ minutes waiting for a file you really want to have is a pain in the ass? Sorry that I react like this, but what's 30 minutes waiting for something you really want, compared to having to re-upload 1,000+ files every month cz of the short 30 days storage period that other uploaders have. Or the other option, having to download 30 files every day to keep them working. Not for me. For others. So that others can download them. Just be glad many files are still working here, or will be working again, unlike at most other sites where they use the so called great uploaders...

So tell me now, what's 30 minutes of waiting every once and a while?

Btw, what is waiting? When a file with Depositfiles takes you 15 minutes to download and with other sites like Rapidshare, Letitbit, Unibytes or Share4web it takes you over an hour to download the same file. So with which sites are you waiting longer? :undecided:

For me it is nothing like that. Download usually takes about 3 hours, and then there is also 3 hour waiting period. If it really was 15 mins, I wouldn't mind, but for me times are awful, so I won't be using that site. It also has annoying tendency to display dead links as alive, and then you click it and it is of course just an ad for gold membership. Seriously hate this.
