You guys seem still be able to do that!

Because the only 3 radioshows where this is done I all 3 listen to, I know from most tracks which are in the Trancepedia already hehe. And if not, when entering an already existing track, it gives an error that the track already exists. The only difficulty here is how to write things like 'vs' and 'feat.'. Because the system doesn't recognize 'vs' and 'vs.' as the same. Maybe there's a way that it does recognize it as the same? Just like with 'ft.', 'feat.' and 'featuring' or 'and' and '&'. But then still with tracks like Minack, is it Armin vs Ferry, Armin & Ferry or Armin feat. Ferry? But these are the only things to watch out for. If there isn't one of those things written in a track, you can always enter it and the system tells you whether it's already been used or not.

I did something about that.

You can now see a "filter" field when browsing the Trancepedia. It will help you search more easily.

Few things to note:
1. It is case sensitive. "Armin" is not the same with "armin".
2. You can not search for the full name of the track. If you type "Orbion", it will show all versions of "Armin van Buuren - Orbion" and all tracks that have "Orbion" in their name. But if you type "Armin van Buuren - Orbion", or "Armin Orbion" or anything like that, it will not work.

This is all I could do in a short time. I will improve upon it in the future, but this will do for now I guess.

Oh, you can see the filter field on all Trancepedia entities, not just tracks.

I made it to automatically add a point "." after every "vs", "feat" and "pres".
Also, "featuring" and "ft" will be replaced with "feat." and "presents" will be replaced with "pres."

I did this to improve the consistency among the database and reduce the confusion. It will also reduce the duplicate entries in the database.

Awesome, good job, Marjan! I was also thinking about getting some sort of standard concerning vs, feat. and pres., but I didn't know how to do that. You already answered that! :D And searching that way will definately do for now :D

This seems like perfect opportunity to say this: Don't really like pres. tag. I like to be surprised to find out who's under alias :D

P.S: This is more general observation in trance , rather than site feature

In tracklists I use the pres. tag as much as possible tbh, so that people who didn't know yet are surprised who's under the alias ;)

Concerning Trancepedia, we already try to put as much under the true alias' rather than using the pres. tag. If you find a track using the pres. tag, feel free to edit it. We try to catagorize everything under the true alias and when you want to know who's behind it, you can click the alias (when available) to get more info about it.

I agree. I also edit out that part and only leave the alias the track is actually released under. We have the Trancepedia if people want to find who's behind the alias.

Great job! I tested the filter function and it works perfect. This was the kind of feature we were asking for.

When embedding youtube videos, it only worked if you either pasted the whole URL from the url bar, for example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hImSdfvWx4&feature=player_embedded

or only the video code part, for example:
-hImSdfvWx4

Now it also works if you paste the url which shows after you click the "share" button on the youtube video page:
http://youtu.be/-hImSdfvWx4

:O LEGEND. Sorry but just checked out the Coldharbour Big Room Reconstructions article and found a beautiful little music player. I'd already heard of every one of those tracks but I just wanted to try it out.
Well played, man. It's dinky, gives the user a little taste. This is exactly what I've wanted when I've been on the sites before and I've only wanted to hear a snippet of a track just to get an idea of what it was.

Hey, I forgot if this has been mentioned before but it seems the Search option is very weak in regards to searching the Forum. It seems fine for the rest of the site. I would like to see Advanced Search make a return, maybe you can add a little icon or expanding button next to search the will let you select which part of the site to search and if you chose forum, to let you select all the sub-forums as well as searching title or description or both

I was very frustrated trying to find W&W - Mainstage episodes through the Search feature, because it is buried inside the Radio Shows sub-forum

Maybe you can write a script that will automatically create sub-forums and pull new posts into it based on title, this could further be expanded to the liveset sub-forum creating a sub-forum list by Artist name
