Dance4LifeOn Saturday 29th November 55,000 young people around the world will dance together via global satellite to push back HIV and AIDS with Dance4Life.

In the UK, the Dance4Life Event will be held in London’s Ministry of Sound where young ‘Agents of Change’ who have been on Dance4Life’s UK College Tour enjoy an impressive line up of DJs, Nike Dance Athletes, Spoken word artists and bands.

The Event in London is one of 22 satellite-linked events happening simultaneously across Africa, North and South America and Europe. The global Event is a powerful statement to demand the attention of World Leaders and their commitment to the UN Millennium Development Goals as well as highlighting the vital role that young people can play in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

All acts such as Alex Gaudino and Darude have donated their performances to Dance4Life, a Netherlands-based charity, and the Event is open to all students from the tour free of charge.

The Dance4Life Tour is currently running in 30 colleges in and around London. Students are introduced to the realities if HIV by means of a fully interactive 2 hour workshop including speakers living with HIV from Zambia, Uganda and USA. All students on the Tour learn the Dance4Life ‘drill’- a simple yet effective dance routine replicated all over the world to unite young people, regardless of background or HIV status.

Over 60% of new infections are amongst young people aged 15-24 and Dance4Life offers this most vulnerable group of people the opportunity to speak out against the spread of the virus in a positive, uplifting way.
