French DJ and producer Yann Sella is set to release the first single from his debut EP ‘Existence’, featuring UK artist and producer MANCHESTER RAIN.
‘Turning Circles’ aims to take the listener on a journey where there is no explicit itinerary. Utilizing a myriad of instruments and pads, Sella creates a lucid environment for his audience to traverse. The odyssey begins with strings and church organ melodies designed to open the door of the listener’s imagination. The powerful synths and strings provide a textured landscape for MANCHESTER RAIN’s haunting vocals, as he delivers the line: “these perfect circles keep turning”.
Hailing from Lyon, Yann grew up listening to rap, electronic and classical music. Receiving his first PC six years ago, the French newcomer quickly became a talented producer, influenced by the electronic musings of Jon Hopkins, SOHN and Hans Zimmer.
The launch of Yann Sella’s first official single – out 8th Aug on Subdust – sees a new producer step confidently into their sound with purpose and conviction.
