Emily Haines is a Canada based indie rock singer/songwriter born in New Delhi, India. She is the lead singer of the band Metric where she plays keyboards as well and a member of Broken Social Scene. As a solo artist, she performed with her own name and under the alias Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton. She also worked with Tiësto for who she did the vocals of 'Knock You Out'.
