The second episode of this radio show with a very unique concept will be premiered on ETN.fm on Friday, 7th September.

Behind The Lyric - Episode Two features a stellar cast of Songwriters and Vocalists sharing their stories. The spoken words of Marcie, Aruna, Anita Kelsey, Sleethief, Dhany, and Colleen Kelly are mixed on top of their tracks, and the listener can journey intimately along with the Artists and their music.

Here is a glimpse into what you will hear in Episode Two.  

Marcie discusses writing as self-healing.  She mentions how the passion and uncertainty surrounding an impulsive hook-up inspired her lyrics for 'Know You'.  Her tune 'Next To Me' speaks of secrets and fantasies while being cryptically confessional at the same time.

Aruna speaks of writing 'I'll Be Waiting Here For You' on a deadline, her approach to melody and rhyme scheme, and her tips for aspiring writers seeking to better access their creativity. 

Anita Kelsey reveals the surprising  background stories for two of her most popular releases, 'Travelling Light', and 'First Time'.  She also touches on the intended meaning behind a seemingly controversial line.

Sleepthief's Justin Elswick tells of the Celtic influence on the ghostly 'Tenuous', and his use of  inverted metaphors in 'Just Say It'  to convey the sense of taking a loss in order to break co-dependent ties.  

Colleen Kelly speaks of writing 'Remember Me' to capture the feeling of longing lovers have when they hope to be remembered across time and distance.

Dhany speaks of  the risks we take when our hearts and minds disagree.  She tells of how her own broken heart inspired the powerful stance she takes in 'Hit My Heart', and her desire to celebrate strong women who command respect from men.
