Randy D., or DJ Ranz as he is known in the electronic music world, was born in Richmond, VA in February of 1989, but was raised mainly in Florida. Today he is based outside of Boca Raton.

DJ Ranz's interest in electronic music dates back to his childhood, where he would listen to his parents' house & disco records. He also enjoyed soundtracks from various Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo Games because of how they were structured.

Ranz's love for electronic music grew as he got older. By age 13, he had already started buying, downloading and collecting some of his favorite Dance anthems and DJ mixes. He'd realized he someday wanted to do this himself. His wish was granted when one day, he discovered Garageband, a music making program for Apple's Macintosh. At first, he mainly produced experimental music but as he entered his late teens he moved toward producing strictly trance and house.

Ranz's next goal was to find a way to get his music out to the world. At first, he was unsure on how to go about it, but after viewing the Tiesto In Concert 2004 DVD, he finally found the answer: DJing!

When Ranz graduated from high school, he immediately purchased DJ mixing software for his computer. It took him a few months and some experimentation but he eventually was able to mix tracks clearly and correctly just like his heroes did.

Ranz becomes more overjoyed with each person that enjoys his music. He hopes to one day get signed to a record label so that he can share his love of electronic music with the world.
