Sonar Zone
Biography
My love for electronic dance music gave birth to Sonar Zone which began way back in 1994
Sonar Zone became the very first signing to Evolution Gold Records, the groundbreaking label ofDJ/producer Scott Brown.Evolution Gold Records released Adrenalin EP and Sonar Eclipse EP at the height of the Scottish‘Rave’ scene, followed by an exclusive release of ‘Ballistic’ on the ‘Best of Evolution Gold’ compilation.
During my time with Evolution Gold Records, I enjoyed great success with his music being recognised and appreciated in the UK and the Netherlands with tracks being included on otherEuropean compilations.
After taking a break from the music scene, I came back in 2010 with two releases on PWMRecords: Restoration (July 2010) and Vortex (July 2010) and then signed to Fuzion FourRecords in 2011 with a release called Creation EP.Following from the release of Creation EP I went on to release Utopia Remixes EP and theRenewal EP, receiving support from many international DJ’s including Photographer, Curtis Craigand Kenneth Thomas.As well as producing some of the finest trance music on the scene, I have been playing guest DJmixes on some of the nation’s top radio shows, appearing on favorites like , Club Educate with DJJohn Gibbons, Taster Radio with Orla Feeney and Beatz Radio as well as on the Komplex SoundsPodcast. Sonar Zone is also an honorary member of TrancefamilyUAE
Along with my monthly show on Afterhours.FM, I regularly play at many big ticket events – having also be booked two years in a row for Detroit’s ‘FutureSound of Worship‘ event hosted byGodsDJs , the CAYA night in Atlanta, as well as clubs in The Netherlands.
Most recently I opened at a special ‘Movement Festival’ afterparty for the trance legend KennethThomas as the famous Grasshopper Underground venue.I am also the senior vice president for Deepsink Digital Records you can check out their releases on Beatport
