I love my trance and euphoria so i was quite excited when they announced that new compilation CD of mashed up tunes was on its way to the shelves i literally emptied the swear jar and ran pal-mal to my local music shop (sounding all the way like a morris dancer on speed). i pay and walk quite happily all the way back to my flat, and this is my review of the compilation.

(a little info about the CD before i tell you what its all about)
its mixed by "the cut up boys" and is 3 CD's of old and new trance greats cut apart and jig-sawed back together to form a bigger, meaner version of itself.

i love my trance but there's only so many times i can listen to the same tune over and over before it becomes (the dreaded) "over played" so to have all my favourite songs brought back but completly different its like i'm hearing them again for the first time. but like every good album there are always a few mediocre songs..
i mean i'm all for mashing up songs to make them enjoyable again but some songs don't need it and would just be ruined by it, and there are examples of this on the compilation, but there are also with the downs the ups, and i will say that the cut up boys have had a few strokes of genius in here. a good example is
if your a purist and like your trance the way it was when it was first played, then this CD is probably not for you but if you like your trance reworked and looking box fresh then your sure to find this compilation a hit
i would give it a reasonable three and a half stars out of five as there are a few disapointing songs mixed in with the good. well worth your money if you don't mind hearing familiar songs mixed to other familiar songs.
