Startingearly next month Richard is reaching out to budding studio-heads, lyricists and singers, to talent search co-producers for his 'Vs. The World' artist album. One continent at a time, he will be onlining his latest backing track set-up for you to download and import into your digital audio workstation.

Studio People: your mission is to take this barebones track and kit it out anyway you see fit. Tempo, style, feel, direction - the choice is entirely yours. Apply riffs, sub-melodies, FX, top-lines, lead-lines, bass, percs – hey, do what you need to do to make it pop! Yobu can network with other likeminds online to create it – you produce/they sing, vice versa, or whichever dynamic works for you!

Once your masterpiece (which you'll have 4 weeks to finish) is complete, you send it to Richard's dedicated Vs. The World Soundcloud Dropbox. Here's where you Music Fans come in! Once a region's closed Richard will post his favourites on his Facebook Fan page and you can then give your keen/less keen/constructive comments. He'll take your feedback on-board and pick the ideas/artists (yes, plural - there may be more than one!) that he's going to move forward and work with. The final, finished track will be included on a 'Vs. The World' EP and will feature on the final, never-seen-before Richard Durand Vs. The World CD, with Richard's co-artists fully credited on the album.

More information on this first-of-its-kind release will follow in early November2011 when the first continent competition opens!
